I just bought this cable. So far, so good! Keeps the center console nice and neat without worrying about the excessive cable length.

Tedious task - but well worth it. I used dynamat superlite instead. Don't forget to add some of it into the wheel arches, makes a big difference if you don't like rocks "pinging" against the metal.

I have the "official " overpriced $45 cable from Porsche. The phone stays in the center console with the lid closed. I run Apple Car Play so I don't need to handle the phone.

Just like n2cars mentioned...

I put the phone inside the center armrest; I have CarPlay and don't need to handle the phone. HOWEVER, I am pretty adamant not using your phone period - with or without CarPlay - when driving. Therefore, for me, this is a really nice option to keep the phone out of sight and out of mind and keeping the cockpit tidy looking. For less than $20 and free amazon returns, it was worth the gamble.

I REALLY considered pulling the trigger on that cable ... you know, since it is official Porsche BUT THEN, I found that cable and a fitted sunshade for the windshield for a combined total of $45 and I knew what I had to do. The sunshade should arrive this week, so I'll find out and report back with it's quality.

I have to find ways to save money so I can buy my ever important chrome gas cap!

After reading through this forum, I ordered the Skene front license plate mount, Rennline cell phone mount and Zunsport front grills. Now if I only had a car to install this stuff, it is supposed to be delivered to me tomorrow.

Ya wasn't fun for sure. I had a box of dynamat left over from when I had my C7. Never used it for that car, so during the seatbelt install, figured "What the heck!"

I put it inside the B pillar area. Not sure how you'd reach up into the wheel arches? I added some under the rubber foam that lays over the arches tho.
Project is done now. Definitely did help. I do still hear some rock pinging tho.

I broke down and bought the "Magnum" phone mount from T9-Designs. I hated spending $100 for a magnet, but I was so unhappy with the strength of the magnet on the Rennline that I decided to try it.

It was harder to remove the Rennline mount than it was to install the Magnum. I have to say that Vlad isn't joking when he claims that it's not your ordinary phone mount. The magnet is a LOT stronger. I'm hoping that on my trip to the Tail next week w/ the Rennsport Dragon Rally that the phone will stay put the whole time!

It's the little things that you add to the car that brings you joy

I love when I open my doors at night now

Thanks! The trim was very easy to install. Everything pops off easily and the new trim simply goes right back in. The door pieces are taped on and they are very secure.
