[QUOTE=vansmac;16040739]Sure, simple answer. I warped my rotors, and boiled my brake fluid racing down Highway 9 in Northern CA.

Is that Highway 9 by Saratoga Gap, south of Cupertino?. If so, looks like a really nice road....Says the man who must drive the Long Island X-way every day.

So yes, this has been a big improvement.
Funny story on this product:

I only got my first Porsche (my 2019 991.2) in March of this year. After owning it for a few months, and after getting annoyed with how much care the wheels take, I turned to my 15 year old son and said:

"We need to find a chemist! I have an idea for an unmet customer need. We need to develop a product that you can spray on your wheels to keep brake dust from bonding with the metal. And we should create a long lasting version for the manufacturers that they can apply prior to shipping the cars to customers."

Of course, it might have been a bit naive to think the OEM's hadn't tried to solve this problem before - but you never know. Sometimes customer pain points go unaddressed for long periods of time.

Anyway, about 2 weeks later I found out about Outlast and have been using it ever since

Don't use it on Black wheels though since it leaves a faint milky look, but it does help repel brake dust so one may like that look better than the alternative.

So what’s recommended for the stock GTS CL’s?

I initially scoffed at the complaints about brake dust, but 10 months into ownership I have subscribed to the sick of brake dust club. Not quite at the PCCB upgrade stage but I plan to pop off the wheels soon and was thinking of applying a ceramic coating? Any recommendations on coatings that preserve the stock finish?

Thanks

Buncha these coated nitrile gloves:

3M Comfort Grip Nitrile Foam Work Gloves, Super Grip 200, General Use / for Safety, Texting, Smartphone -5 Pairs- (Medium)
Amazon Amazon

I find them useful at the end of a car wash when I MF the schmutz from the wheel barrels. I have size M hands and the M is a good fit for me.

Ceramic coating will help but I had just that on my Black wheels and it did not come close to resolving the problem. Yes, it make cleaning them much easier but it does not repel the brake dust any better than wax IMO. You can change your brake pads to Centric Posiquiets, which generate much less brake and are fine for street-only use; however, the only sure fire fix is PCCBs, which I went with a few months ago and could not be happier.

At some point somewhere on RL, someone recommended these brake pads as having much lower brake dust than the OEM's, and if I recall, also said they have equally good stopping power... I was thinking at some point of trying them - would love to hear if anyone has used them...

I love that spoiler. Subtle but sexy, great choice.
I have a 991.1 and the wing is shaped differently and they don't seem to make a mini-duck for us.
The closest is a stick-on lip that is not quite as nice, in my opinion.
