Gents, don't be intimidated by the amount of steps, it's a fairly easy process when the time is taken. Early 991s should be the only culprits in terms of not having said screw. Otherwise it should be smooth sailing. The GTS shown above was a 2016.
Satoru -- you're in Hawaii, correct? Everything seems to take a bit more coin to get over there, unfortunately.
ibmiked -- yes, sir. They are in stock, but moving very quickly.

Have you considered shipping by Priority Mail or flat rate Priority Mail? For such a small item, Priority Mail would be really inexpensive. We have a problem in Hawaii in that some companies will only ship UPS or Fedex.

Fault with that thought? Other than AWE has signed a contract with a shipper and therefore is bound to use them in order to get a discount.

There is a group buy running on these (free freight). Details are over in the GT-4 forum. I have a 2016 GTS Club Coupe and I popped off the inside driver's cover by using just my finger and I have the screw so for me it will be a super simple installation. I'm going to give it a try. Mark

Hi, everyone. I come bearing good news!
We have revised the design of the Foiler™ to make the installation process very, very easy.
We have incorporated new changes to the brackets--the screw holes on the Foiler™ itself feature square pegs, and the coordinating brackets have square ports to prevent the bracket from spinning during install.
The screws themselves are now panhead.
Finally, we've revised the instruction guides to be very easy to follow. In these new guides (found on our website right here) you will be prompted to see whether you have the exposed or hidden screw. We recommend checking before purchasing so you are aware of what steps are required beforehand.
In addition to our installation guide a full DIY article, which these images above are from, can be found right here--courtesy of our friend Ken Smiley, Founder of Planet 9.
I hope this news finds everyone well, and allows those who were contemplating purchasing a set of Foiler™ Wind Diffusers to proceed with confidence!

Are the screws in the same place behind the inner cover of an early 991.1 as with the exposed screws of a later 991.1? If so, couldn't a template be shaped to drill an opening on the early cover?
Finally got a link opened and answered my own question.
