For those curious about the red color, this is pretty close to real life in this light. So glad about the black carpet!! Seems they flip flop about whether its red or black on certain models. Can't believe its actually here. I was without a car since December, when my last 911 went back off lease (I know, first-world problem to have).

Does the dealer repaint the calipers and if so what does it cost?

Yes I am having the dealer do it (or whoever they contract with). After a nice discount it was about $2k. I could get it done cheaper somewhere else, but I want Porsche mechanics to do the removal and re-install. The paint work itself could be had for less probably.

Thanks! What color do you have and what are you changing to?

Hi Nick:

Changing to standard Porsche red (from black) with white decals. Works well with my color scheme on the car with black/red interior.

I know someone who painted the yellow PCCB calipers red on a GT Silver car because yellow didn't look so good on that body color.

How much more would the S red calipers cost? That seems like a lot of money for paint?

I'm hoping a lot more.... Otherwise I'm feeling a little dumb... Rotors alone are $861 from Suncoast. I saw one front-only kit (aftermarket) 6 piston calipers for $3800 plus rear kit 4 piston at $3500, I assume Porsche OEM is not far off from there. Anyone know for sure?

I have. It's quite variable and looked very flat and drab in person when I took this picture.-Richard

Budrichard, yes, I've seen the color in person. It changes a lot depending on the light, gray in the shade of the showroom, blue in bright sunlight. It's going to be a personal taste thing, some may not like it, but I love it.
I agree its a personal taste thing. I LOVE Graphite Blue because of its variability. It reminds me of the Geyser Grey on the 50th anniversary model I loved so much.

I was supposed to place my order months ago but I still can't decide between Graphite Blue and special order Brewster Green.

This might have been answered sometime in the past, but does anyone know how long it takes for a car to get from the factory to Emden?

My C4S has been loaded onto the "Mediterranean Highway". It departed the Port of Emden on April 26th and then sailed to the Port of Bremerhaven. It departed Bremerhaven on the 28th. The next stop is Port of Veracruz Mexico with a scheduled arrival of May 10th. The estimated arrival at the Port of San Diego is May 27th. Anyone else on the Mediterranean Highway?

Default Finally ordered!

Long time lurker. Moving from M4 vert (sideswiped) to 991.2 Targa 4s. Delivery in mid Nov! Looking forward to it but the wait is going to be a little painful. Almost just pulled the trigger on a 991.2 C4S at the dealer yesterday since it was available.

The only person who will notice the calipers is you. Your car really doesn't need any help. It looks great just the way it is. That interior is outstanding.

That depends on different factors, but my car completion date was 4/12/16 and was at Emden on 4/14/16 and left port Eden on 4/16/16.

Thanks. I received a note from my salesperson yesterday that my car was en route to Emden. I'm hoping that it makes it onto one of the early May ships.

My ship is sitting off the coast of FL waiting to port in Jacksonville to make it's way here to Tampa. I am past the point of antsy now. Hopefully in 6 days she'll be mine. Just hoping it doesn't get picked for Customs.
