Normal powder coating and painting will fail. The ceramic coating which is also baked on, is good to around 2000 degrees or so. Good stuff! Ship them to them and a few days turn around. Under $300

I guess a few more weeks! My build is currently 2wks ahead of schedule.
Tnns911, it's not Bordeaux red. It's the same red as brake calipers. The contrast between black seats and red seat belts & red fire extinguisher on a white car turned out better than I imagined and ties in nicely to the red calipers on the wheels. Will upload a pic tomorrow.
Hey Guys. New Porsche owner, and member here. I ordered mine on March 25th and the dealer is telling me it should be in by mid July. How do you guys manage the wait?? Its already killing me!! I've always owned muscle cars, and decided to drive a Porsche, and all I can say is wow!! I had the biggest smile on my face when I got out of the car. I traded in a 650hp, 2007 Corvette Z06, and that car nor my other vehicles ever left me with that kind of smile!!
The only thing I'm torn on(dealer says i have time to make changes until my lock out date) are the wheels. i originally chose the satin black Carrera S wheels but thought they looked kind of plain and have since changed them to the sport wheels. Any thoughts from you guys?

I upgraded in the last min before build got locked and am so glad I did it. Your only compromise - power folding sports mirrors not an option. Nice build, wait is torturous but worth it.

Also sunroof in glass is a fantastic contrast on a light coloured car such as yours, not to mention the amount of light you can enjoy inside the car year round by just retracting the screen. I keep my screen open permanently, gives a sense of spaciousness and feels like open motoring.
FYI...the Metiz Leader ship just left Emden and is going to Halifax. My Carrera is not on that ship. I just remember seeing a few waiting for cars in Halifax. For those of us waiting for cars in central and western USA I think the Green Cove maybe our "golden ticket"!!!
Just left the dealership... my Carrera entered port Emden 4/14 and is supposed to leave today 4/15! My delivery date was moved from 5/27 to 5/13! It will be early. My salesman told me if it exits port Emden today the computer will update tonight and I should have a ship name tomorrow! It's real... This is my first 911. I traded in my 2014 Cayman. That was an awesome car.
Just got a notice that the Green Cove has left Emden. It is supposed to stop in San Diego. Not sure if other stops before then. No word from my SA yet. Hope my car is on that ship.....if it's headed to San Diego
