My Targa 4 GTS landed yesterday in Rhode Island on the Adriatic Highway. I'm told it's 10-14 days to get to the dealer in Long Island and then it will get a front end PPF wrap and a ceramic coating on the whole car, which will take a few extra days. Looks like I'll miss having it for Memorial Day weekend.
After a delay in Davisville for almost a month, I picked mine up about three weeks ago. Put 1500 miles on her in the 1st three days driving back to Texas. Coming from a 991.1 C4S, I really like the base turbo motor in the .2, as many have said before, the exhaust tone is not as pleasing as the NA motors, but it's still acceptable.
Anyone know the last date I can make changes to my car. I presumed it was the vehicle fixed date 5/19 code v250 but my dealer told me it was delivery date determined 5/11 code v200. Worked out for $500 I could add sports package so I'd love to get rear wheel steering for that price in my Targa 4s build.
Just ordered Night Blue C2S coupe with black interior with carbon fiber trim. Black wheels and rear script in body color. Tinted tailights. Sport package. A few comfort options/goodies on the interior.
As a prior owner of a '69 911E coupe (Bahama Yellow) and a current owner of an '87 Carrera coupe (Diamond Blue) and a '90 C4 coupe (Black), I'm super excited to become a first time owner of a new water-cooled 911. Have driven a few 991 cars (C2S, Turbo and GT3) on the track but have never owned a water cooled Porsche.
Question: How long do you wait (if at all) following delivery to let the paint cure before installing a clear bra? I'm going to take my car to the track and into the canyons so I need some clear bra paint protection and want to get it on early while the paint is still perfect.

Congrahs It usually takes about a month to cure, since your car takes longer than that to ship it from Germany, you can take it straight from the dealer to your installation shop.
That's a good question. My GTS exit from production was April 12, 2017 and is set to arrive May 26, 2017. That will make it a little more then 6 weeks. Paint should cure by then.
Anybody have pics of black interior with sport chrono dial in Bordeaux red? Considering that option to add a touch of color to the dark interior but on the fence as to whether it may look funny.
