That is great, it on its way! South Hampton seems to be a popular stop, my vessel also did a stop there. I payed a few extra bucks, I think $20 CDN and was able to get updates via Satellite AIS links, but I can be a wee-bit OCD at times. Also I just found the website for the Harbor Pilots who have to be onboard when a ship is moving in the Harbor. The Theben has a Pilot scheduled to be onboard at 1800 to go from Pier 31 over to the Autoport to start unloading. Good thing I am retired and can 'waste' my time on such matters. The wife says, 'you know, it will get here when it gets here, no matter how much time you spend tracking it'
Thanks for the answer I was wondering that myself.
I keep checking here hoping it's going to make my car get here a bit sooner....
One thing that did crack me up, look at my build schedule again, CT schedule in particular........ lots of work on my car, looks like about seven and half minutes for my custom tailoring....... Maybe I ordered just one deviated stitch? entry, exit and vehicle completion...... 11/18
The Panama Canal has a good set of online WebCams, or it did a couple of years back. If you are interested you should be able to grab some screen shots of its passage.
I am not sure what options trigger a CT. When I was on the factory tour in September, the leather shop seemed to be doing a lot of deviating stitching on the dashboards and doors panels etc. Which then seemed to being put into the cars on the 'normal' production line. But the factory tour, while good fun and well worth it, it only about 2 hours in total. So I could well have missed lots of processes along the way.
I was just notified that my car was released to the carrier, so it will be in D.C. In 3 days. Too bad I'll be on the other side of the planet in Seoul!
I ordered a base 911 with PTS in Stone Grey in June. I picked the color from a 57-59 option offered for 356 although I have never seen one in person (so I'm hoping it'll look good). I added a few other minor options including a PEC Atlanta delivery.
Your build looks really interesting, would be cool to see it in person when it arrives. What part of North Carolina are you in?
Was anyone else's car on the Hercules Leader?
It landed in San Diego on 11/10/16.
SA told me yesterday that the inspection and monroney has been already completed. Just waiting for transport now.
After sitting at anchor in San Diego for 3 long days the G. Poseidon has now docked. Hope the process from here goes quickly and I will see my car soon.
