Default Get your opinion between 2 GTS options

Hi,

If both of them are the same price, then which one would you choose?

Both of them are brand new.

I don't know too much about Alcantara option for $3,850. Do you guys recommend that? Initially, I prefer full leather. Also, option 2 is my custom configuration that I want. I would like Metallic White. Option 1 is a car that is already configured.

Should I buy the one that I configured (option 2) with less options for the same price of option 1? I know it's subjective, but I like to get your opinion about Alcantara and the color white vs. metallic white.

Thanks

get the car *you* want ... or get the car the dealer has, discounted

BTW if you get PDK *you must* specify Sports Chrono ... trust me you do not want a PDK car w/o it!

(neither option lists it, but the 1st one specs the clock face in white)

and my personal preference would be to get white metallic vs 'flat' white, and I would save the money on Sports Steering Plus

You're forgetting that Sport Chrono is standard on the GTS.

I love white metallic, it has that exact "shine". Saw a GTS in that color, love it! I don't really care about flat white, my friend's panamera GTS is flat white, it's just OK IMO. May be see both color in person if you could?

I guess color is very important to me. I saw both white and metallic white...and I do love the metallic white more.

For some reason, i'm not feeling the "Alcantara" look.

I'm not sure I get the whole sport chrono thing.

I never use sport plus as it is pointless on the street (takes each shift point to redline).

I don't really notice any difference on the rigid engine mounts versus not rigid (again, on normal street usage).

I do like the little clock on the dash though.

Am I missing something here? If I want to drive spiritedly I will go to manual automatic and shift for myself. In auto driving, I use sport mode exclusively, which is standard without sport chrono, I believe.

The very first time I had a rental 991 with Sport + I tried Automatic in the city and boy was that a waste. However, now I'm familiar I use Sport + in manual mode in the city 90% of the time and I'm having a blast in that configuration. Do the same thing on my Macan Turbo.

I personally *hate* the 'normal'/default auto mode, all the shift points are 'too low' great for fuel economy or if you are a minivan (or BMW) they have
no place in a 911 ... even Sport isn't much better, only adds an incremental
rpm to the shift points ... but at least its an option ...

I guess then the 'answer' is to use the paddles in manual mode ...
