I wanted to resurface this question. I bought a 2012.5 C2S and have v3.43 software. Has anyone been able to update past v3? Thanks!

I have version 4.76 which my dealer loaded under warranty because I was having issues with the it resetting. I think if you tell the dealer that the system just resets itself they will update under warranty.

I'd check with another dealer. Mine referred me to a shop who did the whole job in a day for a cost of A$1200 installed using the NAVTV module. Works perfectly without issues. Costs more than if car was ordered with it....but since it was CPO'd wasn't an option.

Having car in for PSE wiring and AWE exhaust install later this month. Will have to ask about having this done at that time too. Assume they will since they'll have to updated the software to add the PSE anyway one would guess.

4.76 for nine months now and not a single PCM/map issue. Thoroughly enjoying the PCM and map functions. Been all over Europe and it hasn't let me down. I run Waze in parallel and find Waze to be a little better than the Real-Time traffic through the Online Services Option powered by INRIX over here. The google POI search is far better than PCM database and I use it almost exclusively.

When I did the Online Services and Euro Map Update, the map license key is PCM 3.1 Europe 8/2015. My car is a US Spec built in March 2014. I'm assuming there was a US Map Update around the same time. I'll be returning to the US next summer and figure I'll need a US Map update. Anyone know the latest map version and the cost?

Does the dealer have to remove the PCM system from the dashboard to do this, or can it be done via the OBD port?

Definitely does not require the PCM to be removed, it is likely updated via USB but not positive.

Mine is on V4.76 right now.
Is that still the latest version, for 991.1 with PCM3.1?

Had a bit of a setback. Had been running 4.76 for quite a while. Just before departing Stuttgart back in June 2017 after three years, I had the dealer load the latest USA maps. It dropped my SWV to 4.52. I didn't notice it until I got back to the good old USA. I've brought the car to the dealer locally, and they can't seem to figure it out. Anyone have definitive information on how to get it back to 4.76 and confirm the latest USA maps?

Confirmed with Suncoast today that 4.76 is the latest and the USA Maps I have are the most current. They suggested getting Service Campaign WF27 reloaded to clear up a BT issue and that should bring me back to 4.76. Will be at the dealer in Montgomery again in a few weeks and will see if that does the trick.

Deler in Montgomery was unable to get me back to 4.76. They reloaded the USA Maps 997-044-908-61 and it still said 4.52.

Anyone crack the code on how to get a SWV updated to 4.76?

Do the new 991.2’s have automatic updates or do you still need to bring it to the dealer?
