are you *REALLY* sure you want to paint your wheels to match body color?

have you seen this look in real life and loved it?

The standard (silver) wheels are painted silver wheels.

Yeah that's why I said most guys hate it. There are some I've loved, some I don't care for at all. In this case I'm pretty sure I'd prefer the stock look, but hard to be sure having never seen one with matching wheels in DBM.

The way they paint the Carrera S wheels I think they leave the rims polished, which I bet looks sharp against the dark blue.

Love the DBM w blue top choice. What is interior color? A wheel choice is a very personal thing (just see above ! And although my favorite wheel is the Sport Techno w inner portions painted black, I have a silver car. I think some contrast would be more appealing on that DBM beauty! So silver painted wheels would be my choice. I like wheels to be easy to clean thus the ST (which do come in all silver too), followed by the S wheels. ST are the heaviest (also .5" wider F&R) and the S wheels are the lightest of the P-car options. GL w your decision!

Yes, but if you've scuffed your silver wheels the thickness is vastly different to what is on the color matched.

That's because paint is translucent, light goes through the paint all the way to the base or primer and reflects back out. It takes very little silver paint to cover what are basically silver wheels. Covering a different color takes a lot more paint. Otherwise the base silver would affect the look of the new color. Your question though was about weight. It only takes an ounce or two to do a wheel. The difference between the different wheel options is pounds, not ounces. The Carrera S wheel is I think about 3 lbs lighter than the Sport Techno.

dBM with blue top and painted wheels body color is One of the finalist colors
Interior , I am thinking black

I saw a dBM with two tone tan and black which looked ok but I think I prefer black

My fav interior is garnet red with black two tone but that interior color goes best with gt/rhodium silver

I have to decide my build by weekend : dBM, blue top with black interior with body colored s wheels or

Rhodium, black top with garnet red/ black interior and s wheels painted glossy black

Gawd, tough to decide

Have you considered DBM/Blue/Espresso-Cognac? Not for everyone I know.

I get that. It's a love it or hate it thing.

One thing that I've noticed with my DBM (which I LOVE) is that it is darker than I realized. So if you're looking for contrast, you won't get a lot of it with a black interior.

"Wheels Painted in Platinum Satin" also looks great with dark blue metallic, as I discovered in this thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/991/8064...in-wheels.html

Here are some photos of TOporschefan's and ArashApollo's cars, which have this scheme. Enjoy!
