HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
Rennlist Member
There is a nice looking 2015 Black/Beige Manual Tranny C2S with only 7100 miles on it in Palm Beach FL, with more than a year of factory warranty remaining, asking $69.9k at
https://www.offleaseonly.com/used-car/porsche-911-carrera-coupe-rwd-wp0aa2a98fs106865.htm
Not a lot of options, but it appears to be a nice 991.1 example with very low mileage, for the money...
Whoops! Just saw it had a minor accident with repairs to the side, front and roof. Not such a good deal, in my mind.

Love it. Great job...
why keep diff .1 and .2???
id say all 991 should be in the same one and maybe even expend afterwards. It can’t hurt. It will be a good indication for us all.

Off Lease Scam
I would not buy anything (a toaster let alone a 991) from Off lease. Their prices are way low and everything has a story...

Agreed. I think their name should be "prior accident only". I have been shopping for a MINI lately and every one that came up listed by Off Lease had an accident history.
Three Wheelin'
Most 911's don't go to general wholesale auction unless there is a problem. If I own a Ford dealership and take a clean 911 in on trade, I am calling a couple of Porsche dealers nearby for bids. Why send it to auction and pay fees? The off-lease auction stuff is mostly junk, at least in this fairly hot market.
What do you think is a fair price for a higher mile CPO'd 2012? A local guy is selling a base 911, $102k build, excellent condition with CPO. 62,000 miles with a factory Aerokit cup and S brakes added after purchase. It is a PDK with sport exhaust. The car looks to be in excellent shape: he put 40k on it in 3 years, and he lives out in the country anyways, so these are highway-backroad miles. He has regular service records and nearly new tires, recently bought a 991.1 Targa 4S, and also has a 930 in the garage; it's been well kept. It also looks bad-***.
I figure reliability on these cars has been solid; it may be cheaper to maintain a higher mile 991 than spend a lot more for a low-mile options, especially for a car like this with mostly highway miles. I know that mileage depreciation flattens the further you move from zero.

I'd say low $50's ... does it have Sport Chrono too?
The brakes and Aero package really has little additional value to most buyers, especially dealers.

I know we don't get to 'spec' our used cars, but man, spending $9K+ extra for aerokit and sport exhaust on a base 991.1??? Seems like they should have skipped the 'looks fast, sounds fast' options and put it towards the 'is fast' option, aka S version?

Tough choice. I am deciding between this and another 911 local to me. It is a 997.2 Carrera S with only 24,000 miles, also a person in the club. PDK, rich cocoa interior and GT Silver exterior. He is asking $55,000 for that car, and it is a fair price. It doesn't have the presence of the 991, but certainly has plenty of power and is a nice car. I took a drive in it the other day, and it is a bit more "old school". Suspension is not as tight, the car is a bit more wild, but really, really fun. 1/3 of the mileage as well, which is tempting.
I want to stay under $60,000, and hopefully away from dealers.
My husband owns Cayman S manual, so we are looking primarily at PDK-equipped cars for a change of pace.

Well, it comes with the original brakes and the original non-aerokit, so I could swap it back. But it looks so much better this way! Although should I purchase, I may go ducktail and sell the wing. Low 50's seems about right. It has SC added after the fact. He would sell it to me for $53,000, and that price seems fair. I personally love the look of the car: it looks like STG's, but with a wing instead of a duck.

Does the car have a 'sport plus' button? Does it have the dash-wart stopwatch? If not, it doesn't have Sport Chrono, which means it doesn't have sport+ programming on the pdk transmission.
Honstley the price isn't too bad, but it sounds like the car was heavily tweaked by the previous owner. The question then becomes were the tweaks done in a super high quality manner? How's the paintwork on the aero-kit? What else was screwed with?
If you give us the VIN, we can run the build sheet and tell you exactly what the car came with.

For frame of reference, I have a 2012.5 with a $96K build that I purchased 4 months ago with 13 months remaining CPO and 32K miles for $59K from a dealer. Definitely think $53K for this more highly-optioned car with higher mileage is a better deal. When does the CPO expire? Since he's had it for more than 2 years, I assume he purchased it CPO before the factory warranty was up giving you 6 years total from the original warranty punch date...can't be covered too much longer.
