Your deal was a while back and very UNCOMMON. I give you HUGE credit for the negotiating as they would have easily sold you the car for full ask. For whatever reason they wanted to move the car. When we were discussing it back then, and you shared the price they got down to, I was GO FOR IT. Don't recall all the communications we had back then, but I think you were hesitant to buy it and wanting more $$ off

Knowing what I know, this wasn't at all an average discount. Was time to GO FOR IT

Rest is history

Moral is, don't be afraid to be a tough negotiator though. Trust me, I don't like paying full price for nothing. Just got some nice discounts on new bikes for the family. Why? Because I asked and pushed it. Most people go into these nice bike stores and just pay full price. I dealt directly with the store manager and went from there. My wife is always amazed. Not like I'm a jerk about it, but just know a lot about business and the way things work. Knowing people too doesn't hurt sometimes. For references and sharing knowledge.
The timing was perfect and negotiating panned out. The dealer was also highly motivated, doesn't seem to be the case any longer.

I'm glad that you always ask for a break, I can't over emphasize the "Suggested" in MSRP!

Anyway, team "Rumble Bee" was in full swing today and Bee stretched her legs at LRP for few parade laps. We raised over $8k for charity so life is good!

As mentioned previously, I'm cross shopping Caymans as well. Surprisingly, there seems to be no 'internet finds' thread for Caymans like HFS for 991.1, and other similar threads for 997's, turbos, etc.

So I started one... An hot internet finds thread for any/all generations of Caymans.
HC4S: Hot Caymans 4 Sale

Just posting it this once... If it has even a fraction of the success of the HFS thread, mission accomplished.

Another decent looking car in the Rennlist classifieds...

2012 991.1 S Cabriolet
WP0CB2A90CS154958
$122K Sticker
$72.5K Ask
24K miles
Guards Red over Black partial leather
link https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...carrera-s.html
Nice build with PDK, SC, Sport Plus seats, Sport Design wheel w/ paddles, deviated belts and stitching, etc.

For me, it's a triple deal-breaker (no cabs, no pdk, no red) but different strokes and all that... Definitely a nice looking car! I'd rather see it with CPO or a few less miles for the asking, but the market is strong right now.

There you go boys, for those who like the unique paint to sample, voodoo blue. Not my type of build, but a pretty car.

Very funky build from my perspective... Lots and lots of $$ on cosmetic and comfort upgrades like pts, sport design front fascia, sport design mirrors, upgraded painted wheels, heated and vented seats, etc pumping the sticker up to $107K, but a base car with not a single performance or driver oriented option. No sport chrono, no sport exhaust, no sport seats, no pasm, etc Well, it does have sport design wheel with real paddles, but my guess is that it was ordered because they liked the look of it, not for the paddles!

I do like the color though! If it was a manual instead of PDK and not priced as much as a nicely equipped S, I might forgive some of the option sins...

Hi all,

Update: I just got my 991S cab in a couple of days ago. I had an official PPI done by an independant shop after the complementary one that was done by the Benz dealer, and it was in great condition. Thanks to this thread I knew exactly what I wanted and jumped on this car as soon as I saw it on Autotrader. Thanks guys!!

When it was first dropped off

Nice! Share the details... Vin, price, miles so we can keep tabs on actual market transactions?

Love the manual! Damn hard to find right now.

----
Nevermind, I see you posted up the info earlier. I think you did quite well considering the high original sticker. low miles and the market frenzy right now...

Sticker: $142K
Price: $81K ($61K/43% off sticker!)
Miles: 10K
