The Voodoo car needs red tail lights and better stock OE unpainted wheels. Would look a lot better and sell faster.
Exactly. Change out the clears and blue wheels and the car is salable. In its current configuration, it's a very hard sell. With a build like this, the dealer would have been crazy not to demand a heavy deposit (say, $50k?).

Car has been for sale a LONG TIME. A bailed custom order. I got the story first hand. There's a deposit "on hold" until it sells. Of course, many guys think it's ok to do that. "The dealer will be fine" we've heard. Not cool I say.
100% agree that a build like THIS should have a deposit that is non refundable. This dealer also had some employees doing builds that were so out there that they weren't selling. Now, a standard, nicely spec'd NORMAL build that will sell regardless of the original customer ends up buying it is no skin off the dealers back. Once you go blue wheels it's a bigger non refundable deposit. Dear lord that's a terrible build. They should sand blast the wheels to make it sellable.
Talked to Porsche West yesterday about this car. Tried to nego a bit on the price (asked for 1600 off too fund the swap to a Sport Design wheel). They said "they don't discount CPO's" LOL I don't know if I can bring my self to not get anything off a used car deal, but the price is good so I'll be heading over in the morning to check it out.

wow! that is a hell of a deal! i would have jumped on that too had i seen it. it's pretty much exactly what i am looking for !! very nice!
there's a reasonably similar one here in chicago but they're asking 125k w/o the X51 package and 8k miles. was there earlier today, but they did not want to move on the price. the nice thing about finance, is that the numbers are finite, even if the love isn't . that makes financial transactions very easy.

That's a great deal. What I have learned about New Country in Greenwich, they are willing to make a deal on their preowned cars. 2 of my 3 former 997s were purchased from Greenwich. New cars are a different beast.
