FWIW I am currently in e89 Z4, which IMHO is the last well-driving and fun-driving BMW except maybe the 2-series which is a bit ugly (FFS can they make the rear wheel arc a bit bigger?).
The Z4 will hold me over water while I will (hopefully) find my perfect Porsche. They made the last e89 in August, otherwise I might have gotten another Z4 lease.
It is very hard to beat a modern BMW in driving comfort and driving control. Even the Z4 sits well on the road, has very powerful seat heating, heated steering wheel, there is by far the best support to change random computer parameters to your liking ("coding"). Seats are good and come standard with width adjustment. A lot of nannies but reasonable amounts of control. Large wheel arcs so that you can mount whatever wheels (not in the 2-series).
I'm starting to narrow down my choices and have a couple of questions:
-One of the cars does not have PSE. Would an aftermarket cat-back exhaust effect the CPO warranty at all?
-Is PSP a deal breaker? Anyone here own a car with PSP and truly regret having it?
PSP is an essential option that will add $$$ to the resale of your car. A decade or two from now, it will highly sought out by collectors and enthusiasts alike. No other option allows you to do autocross with your pinky figure. A must have.
Okay, just kidding. I've had PSP on both my 991S's and if I was ordering a car, I would probably check the box. It's a nice option for maneuvering around a parking lot or driveway but not a must have. I would certainly not even bother with paying a dealer to turn it off via software. That being said, in looking for a CPO or otherwise used 991S...it is the option that would seriously matter the least if it was on there or not.
For PSE, it was a deal breaker for me - one of the options I had to have. Had it on both my 991S's and love it. Also love the ability to turn it off with the switch of a button if rolling through a neighborhood or on a highway and I just want to cruise and listen to the Burmester stereo instead. There are a lot of 991.1's for sale - it shouldn't be hard to find one with the sports exhaust. Also note that you can also have PSE installed after the fact.
Went from a Solar Yellow Kia Soul (DD) to adding my Racing Yellow 991.1 C2! No baby steps here!
I remember wanting a Cayman when they first came out in 2006. Just thought it was a beautiful looking machine and unique. It and Porsche in general was just way out of my league and budget.
Then maybe 2.5 months ago, my buddy and I were looking at his track videos (Cayman GTS and GT3, not his but track company's), and inspiration hit. My friend has talked for the past couple of years about getting a GT3 and has always said I should get a Porsche too.
I then began my search and research. It lead me to my MY2014 991.1 that I've had for just over 3 weeks. Haven't driven it much but when I do it's a blast. I can't wait for the spring time!
I may be skipping some steps but I'm glad I did. Sorry for yet another digression.
Oh .... you can get some great deals on Lime Gold. Probably all time toughest 991 color to sell. I think Anthracite Brown may even sell quicker. Both unique colors, but not easy movers. Sales guys get a free Mexico vacation when they sell those.
Lime Gold didn't last long on the palette selection.

When using the locator, what color would I check?
There's no option for lime gold, lime or gold.
Beige maybe?
The cab in our club has a brown top and brown interior.
The whole idea sounds horrible, but it's really eye catching.
Well, nice find! Love the price and mileage. Probably driven by the dealer manager or owner?
Might need some work. Front bumper looks pretty trashed. Maybe a small crack?? See license plate holes too. Regardless, at a price like this I'd throw some money at it for some polishing up. Looks like a bit of curb rash too, and not sure what the round button is on lower right console. See no CarFax either.
Definitely worth investigating if it fits someone's likes. Please update us if anyone does!!!
My kids love to ride in mine! I occasional get to pick them up from elementary school in it...get into the pickup line, minivan, minivan, SUV, minivan, Porsche 911S, minivan, SUV, SUV, minivan, SUV, minivan...it's kind of funny...
LOL - pretty funny as that was the first thing my 4th grader said - she wanted me to pick her up from school.
