They get these PCNA Porsche Exclusive builds, etc. They do these over the top builds to showcase what "can be" ordered. I assume that's what these are.
They have had a few other crazy models Iike these. Either that, or they think the Manhattan hedge fund guys might buy these. Those guys are buying more obnoxious cars. I'm sticking with Porsche Exclusive.

This one is a crazy thought, but if you really like the looks of a 997.2 GT3 RS but would settle for a 2007 996 GT3 with 415 Hp and that delicious 8500 rpm red line and close-ratio 6 speed, new clutch, PCCBs, and delicious powder blue paint job they claim cost $15k, this might be worth somewhere near the $79k asking price. Has 35k miles. Interior is awesome. It certainly is a looker.
Whoops! Just trying to find that link and it appears Global Motors in Houston took this listing down. That makes me wonder....

Yup. Exactly.
PCNA uses these "rewards programs" to rid themselves of these kind of cars and Panamera whales. They also hand out GT car allocations which they use as pawns as well. This whole thing contributes to the whole GT car soap opera with mark ups, flips, market adjustments, etc. It's a self manufactured scarcity game to benefit PCNA and be able to somehow reward dealers by dangling carrots in front of them.
The losers here?? The enthusiasts who have had a passion and dedication to the brand.
At the end of the day, it's all business.
Porsche doesn't care if you're a first time buyer, or on your 20th purchase.
If they had any passion for their buyers, they could have some really in depth data and information on their loyal repeat customers. Marketing information companies would kill for. They do not. Call PCNA, and they don't know you from Joe "Never Bought a Porsche" Blow.
They can't even make it easy to deal with Porsche financial with setting up direct payments. The cars sell themselves, but I think they're missing the boat on having a closer relationship with their most loyal followers.
My free comments and advice ......
Like I said before, it's all business ....

I tried using rennlist on the iphone but didn't like it. Will have to check out this Garage Talk you speak of.

Frustration is starting to set in with me. I am not sure if I will ever find the car that checks the majority of my boxes. Really wanting a GTS, but I may cave and just order a 991.2 with everything I want.

I've looked at hundreds, probably thousands of Porsches and finding the right options/mileage/price combo is like a needle in the haystack. I can count on one hand the number that were "perfect" and that applies to all models that I searched for, 991, Cayman S/GTS, Cayenne GTS/Turbo. They are out there though!

If anything, if you MUST buy new, wait for the .2 GTS. Should be announced this year. I'd give the search some time, and consider a .2 GTS if you must.
The market has tightened and guys are holding onto their .1 cars. Just like always, there are new ones hitting the market daily. All depends how long you want to look and how patient you are (also how flexible your want list is).
