Congrats!
With a 3-15 build date, I would also have them change the oil and filter before delivery.

Seems like a nice car: good basic enthusiast build! 7MT, PDLS, Sport Design wheel, black on black, 20" S wheels, 14-way seats. Even better if it weren't for that huge wheel gap....what is that, Porsche's version of a sportscar edition Jeep Wrangler? Seems like they should offer lowering springs on the build: even if you don't want the PASM or SPASM adjustability, just to give you the ride height a 911 should have.

SPASM gives a car the perfect stance in my opinion. All Carrera S's come with PASM. Going for the SPASM option (lower springs and different sway bars) drops it another 10mm.

I've been looking for a C2S or C4S 2013-2014 CPO Cab for the past few months. It's my first Porsche and I wanted to get the perfect car that I'm going to keep for a long time. I keep cars ten plus years, even daily drivers, so I like to do it right the first time. Over the past few months, I've only seen the CPO inventory shrink, but this forum has been incredible in helping me with my purchase decisions and ultimately my purchase. STG, I can't think you enough for creating it. Same to all of the contributors that add content.

After losing 4 cars in rapid succession to more aggressive bidders (two of the same vehicles are back on the market) and noticing that the number of 991.1 CPO vehicles was decreasing dramatically, I pulled the trigger on a new 2015. Dealers kept telling me that spring is when the cabriolets sell which was impacting CPO inventory. My argument was that new convertible cars would sell in the spring also and 1 or 2 year leases would be up in the spring. One would think that it should be a balanced effort. New and used cabs should be available. This logic did not hold and I'd love to know why.

As a result, I began looking for 2015 new cars that were still on the lot. This is much more difficult through the Porsche website as they only allow you to look at new cars based on zip code. I haven't found a way to survey the entire country.
Despite that, I found a new 2015 in Houston with a 142k MSRP and my almost perfect build for 116k. I got it just under that with CPO and a wheel change thrown in. In the next two weeks I'm going to take delivery of the vehicle, bought sight unseen, with 105miles and a 5.5yr 100k warranty on it. Unfortunately I had to increase my spend buy about 15K, but after considering the trade offs, I feel it was a very good deal. Including 3k for the CPO, it was approximately 21% off MSRP for a new car.

To find new cars in a country-wide search, you can use typical car search sites, e.g., autotrader, cars.com, cargurus, and tick the "New" condition box in your search parameters. The downside to this vs. the official Porsche website search is that you lose the ability to filter Porsche-specific options, like PSE, PDCC, PCCB, Burmester, etc.

For example, here's a nationwide search for new C4S Cabs with PDK on cars.com.

Since we have the ability to check build sheets by VIN, it just makes the search process a bit more labor-intensive, as opposed to totally impossible.

One thing I have noticed about inventory levels is that there seem to be more listings for new/leftover/warranty-punched 2015/2016 cars than there are used/CPO. At some point I would think that these dealers would be receiving tremendous incentives from PCNA to sell these cars just to get them off the lot before they depreciate into oblivion.

Anyway, back to regular programming: here's a nice C4S Cab, PDK, triple black, Sport Technos, full cow.

On a side note, I must say that this dealer, Rusnak Porsche, along with Motor Werks of Barrington, IL, consistently put out the best photos. They must have a professional on staff.

Compared to, say, certain dealers who shall remain nameless, whose photos look like they were taken by a porter with a disposable cell phone .

You can walk into any big-box retailer or mall kiosk vendor and pick up a prepaid cell for $10. Totally disposable.

Only 474 miles. SPASM, no sunroof and 5-lug wheels on a GTS. PDK though. Listed for 117k. MSRP of 135k. At a Ford dealership of all places.
