I can go take a look at this one for you, if your budget is flexible: https://www.porscheowingsmills.com/i...aa2a90ks103789. It's near me while I'm home for the holidays.

Looks like the dealer I traded my 991.1 at reduced the price to pretty reasonable number so thought I would share it. I loved the car but moved into a .2 4 gts instead for the extra power and all year driving (including Chicago winters). Also I made a number of minor updates to it so I posted my thread on that as well. Only posting this as I would love to see an enthusiast in the car ( I have no affiliation with this dealership- they are okay but clueless on Porsche). I also gave them all the service records for the past 8 years from the previous owner and myself (I just did the PDK and PDK clutch flush, all brakes last year, 40k service, etc).

Can you share what they gave you on the trade-in?

Sure. They gave me $54K; however, I bought the 4 GTS they had at full ask which was $137K. They initially offered me $50K so they negotiated the trade-in up instead of the price on the GTS down as I wanted to be under $90 net including taxes and fees.

Excellent info, thanks! I think a ~20% profit on their end is significant, should they get their asking price. I was curious what the general margin dealerships try to extract on trade-ins. Making profit on both the trade-in and the GTS was obviously extra beneficial to them. This is why dealerships focus so much on used cars, eh.

Congrats on the GTS! Looks very nice and I'm sure quite the improvement over the base .1.

Thanks! Yeah the GTS is pretty nice and is like new. I was torn between a 992 4s and the GTS and ended up going for the GTS after try dropped the price a bit from the previous week and gave me a decent trade in compared to other dealers. I wanted awd as we downsized cars (my winter car was taking up space) so wanted the extra comfort for winter.

They initially listed the GTS for 145 and dropped it to 137 over a month or so. My old car was initially listed at $68 and has been coming down. Market is moving for sure.

I got $60k trade in on my 2013 C2 about 2 months ago at Porsche Beaverton, and then they CPO’d it and had it advertised at $75k. It seemed to sell pretty quickly but I’m not sure what the sale price was.

prices have been moving fast. I got a $64k quote from Porsche Barrington a few months Ago and when I when back to look a 992 they had right before I bought the GTS a few weeks ago they dropped it to $53k… I had two dealers offer $50k, one at $53k and one at $54k.

I had a trade-in offer of $62K for my 2019 GT350 in August. That is now down to $46K-$51K in only 4 months. The wholesale market has collapsed in the last few months; I don’t see a scenario where that doesn’t play through to the retail used car market in the next 3-6 months.

I know it isn't a 911 but I was seriously looking at this 2021 Boxster T on BAT. MSRP was $81k and was bid to $66.5k and seller probably would take $70k. Point is that used Porsche sports cars aren't all selling at above MSRP and some are depreciating.

I take your point but that's a turbo 718 with 6k miles... I'd say it's the very low end of the two-door P-cars. I'd have been very surprised if it was bid to anywhere near MSRP. The reality for 911s or aspirated 718s is still quite different I think.

Yes, but the used car market generally is crashing (down 15% in several months), and it will affect Porsche. We aren’t talking about super cars here.
