HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991

Buying a salvage sight unseen is definitely risky. But man even I’m tempted to put a bid in and then sell my beloved Blue, lol. And I generally don’t like black.
I think a lot has to do with the taste of the work. You can tell a lot about the quality of work by the taste of the mods/choice of parts by the repair shop. This looks so absolutely clean and classy, it must be really psychologically working. Even I look at it and think that the level of detail they convey while showing it off must reflect the quality of work done.
Even if it’s 95% as “right/perfect” as a clean title 911, that thing has a presence far beyond most standard fare 911’s, basically of a model worth 5x+ as much as its current bid. To even me that ratio starts to feel worth it.

Good point! I have no problems with an aesthetic emulation, but fake badging is my line. Super poseur and cheesy. That would come right off and be replaced with a “911” badge.

Proper repairs and lots of cool upgrades are no real issue to me as an owner as long as no hidden mechanical gremlins arise and you plan to keep it for a long time. Selling it will always raise the same questions, but in 5 years lots of others will get Carfax.nics.
Lots of cars get expert repair and paint work done with no reporting just to dodge carfax reports and the Porschephile insanity to detail that comes with these vehicles. At the end of the day it's just a car that can get fixed and if you're out enjoying it will take on some dings, my .02

I would drive it as is. I doubt anyone would approach you with a challenge other than at a car & coffee. I would think the bid has peaked out at 55K. 4 more days will speak for its self.
I'm betting it goes higher. I wonder if car is available for inspection
How did the economics of this whole thing work to be able to do those kind of upgrades?

If that car was a color I more desire (although with those green stripes and overall setup it looks stunning) to own, I might have gone to check it out myself and threw a bid in. Figure it will sell for less than my clean title C2 would and I even would perhaps come out ahead. If the salvaged title doesn’t bear any tangible issues, that’s a ton of car for the price.
GT3 ad question
I was wondering what everyone thought of this GT3? Seem like a nice deal? If everything checks out? I’m new to the 991 world

Assuming everything checks out, it's a good deal at that price.

1.) The GT3 market is in decline
2.) This is a high mileage example in an undesirable year. The car is a stripper but that can also be a positive.
But, the price is getting to be attractive, but why does the Carfax show so much "service" when the car was in Hawaii? The car has no warranty now.
Looking at a 2012 991 C2S 28000mi nice build($115K) manual. Very clean! Dude wants $68K trying to reason with him, without luck. What's the HFS #
I'm thinking $60-62. KBB is $55-61
How do I approach without insulting?
PS: Have 2012-13 991's bottomed? How low can they go?
Thank you!!
