HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
Rennlist Member
991.2 has been incorporated into the HOT FOR SALE stickie effective immediately.
(Though I suspect it's going to make my personal search for a .2 just a bit harder rather than easier!)
Personally, I'm looking for:
- 2017/2018 C2 base*
- Manual*
- Sport Chrono*
- Sport Exhaust**
- 20" wheels**
- Sport seats, 4 way or 18 way**
- Full Leather***
- Carbon interior package***
- Silvers, grays, blues, reds preferred.
- Black, speed yellow nope.
- *Must
- **Want, might consider the right car without it.
- ***Want, but I know I'm dreaming.
- Open on mileage, prefer under $80K with CPO, under $75K without.

Thanks pfbz .... appreciate all the contributions you and others have made. It's a cooperative effort here and I don't want to be, nor can I be pulling all the weight here. Hopefully some more guys jump on board here. I think HFS will get bigger and better and will inject some fresh new energy into it.
When HFS was taken down, many guys stepped up in support. Many .2 owners as well. Didn't go unnoticed.
Remember guys, nice listings with pics, VIN #'s, build sheets, and all the regular format we've been utilizing here.

I was checking out that Miami Blue .2 2S STG listed up a few posts (WP0AB2A92HS123015)... Awesome build, great deal! I really should just up my game (and budget) a bit and go for it!
I haven't driven a car with it yet, but most folks are reporting that the rear wheel steering really transforms the handling of the 991's.

If anyone noticed, the HFS stickie title has been tweaked a bit .....
I'm making an executive decision and one I've thought a while about. I think opening up HFS to 991.1 and 991.2 Carrera's would serve Rennlisters and the stickie best. With the upcoming 992 generation, I think it would be best to use our resources wisely and serve future buyers and enthusiasts all in one spot for the 991 generation.
Some rationale ...
Reality is, there is now overlap in .1 and .2 pricing, and many new guys are cross shopping both.
We've had HFS followers who were once .1 owners move onto .2's. We've lost participation and knowledge because of it.
There are a lot of great contributors who are .2 owners who have a lot to offer, who I'd like participating more.
The .1 market continues to be tight and to keep the thread as active as possible and attract a wider audience, I think bringing on .2's makes sense.
I think it fosters a better environment for all the 991 enthusiasts to learn from and discuss with each other the pre-owned market.
There are new guys interested in these cars who visit RL daily. Many could really care less about the .1/.2 debates. Both great cars in their own way. They are more open to either and just want some good info on these cars and a great deal.
Carreras
2012.5-2016 >> 991.1
2017-2019 >> 991.2
So ....... that's my take. Some might/might not like it, but I think it's in the best interest of HFS's continued success. We're still looking for those HFS deals and what we've always done. Just casting a little wider net now. Cool??
Although I live on the wrong side of the pond to benefit from HFS directly!

Very happy to see 991.2 added to HFS! I’m in the market for one so I’m browsing listings daily. Very curious to see what happens to 991.2 values once the 992 debuts and winter hits.
I’m looking for a 991.2 C2 or C4 (C4 preferred for wide body action and extra traction), PDK, and Sport Chrono are my requirements. Everything else
(barring some colors) is fair game. My ideal build would be a 991.2 C4 PDK with Sport Chrono, ventilated seats, no sunroof, in Graphite Blue Metallic.

Happy to contribute! I'm sort of on a .2 kick right now, but super-particular in what I'm looking for so I'll be sure to post up anything I don't have an immediate interest in (but of course cars that I still think are a HOT deal!)

This one is nice, it was owned by a Rennlist member and I nearly bought it off him but it was a little lower optioned than I liked and standard interior I ended up passing. Otherwise it has must have options for the .2 which is Sport Package (which has RWS) and SC. Nice car and I think he traded it to the dealer for around 97k
For what it’s worth, the reserves on BAT are never clear. If the reserve is not met, that is stated at the end of the auction. If it is met, the car is marked as sold. There is no indication during the auction if and when the reserve has been exceeded.

Fantastic news bringing the 991.2s into the thread! Thanks STG!
Three Wheelin'
The Mexico Blue 4S, by itself, with those options, was easily a $90k car.

If anyone is interested: we sold our 2012 C2S cab, manual with every performance option and every luxury option (18-ways, Burmester, PDCC, full black leather) platinum silver, probably an 8.5 cosmetically (a few rock chips and a couple of scuffs on the leather) for $68,500. It had 29,500 miles. I thought it would go for more, but we just had very little interest. It was in top shape mechanically, with nearly new tires.
I suppose manual cab buyers are a rare breed!
