HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991

Hey TD, Yes I can imagine it looks better in person, just not my favorite color. But I love the option list. This person took a big hit. How are Porsche with negotiating down from MSRP?

I am amazed at the number of barely used 991s out there. In February I bought a perfect 2013 loaded C4 (paint corrected, wrapped and an extra set of new winter tires) with 8100 miles and CPO'd to 10/19! The warranty may outlast me!

First of all thanks to Grasox for checking the first car out for me!
Three cars I'm looking at - would love your advice of which one you think is best and more importantly what I should offer (all CPOed):
1. 2013 Aqua Blue C2 manual, SC, satin 20s, 24k miles listed at $71k. car has a lot of rock chips according to Grasox. Interior looks nice. 20k mile service done at 24k - not good. I love the color though. Dealer does not seem motivated to sell - on the lot 25 days.
http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/de...5856/overview/
2. 2012 Agate grey C2 manual, SC, classic 20s, PASM, 15k miles listed at $69k. Dealer had the car since July, was listed at 63.9k but CPO (new tires) brought it up to 69. Really clean according to a friend that looked at it, and I trust him. Gotta decide how much to value PASM on these cars. Only bad is that the car was services at Meineke at some point according to car fax - who services a new Porsche at Meienke???

3. 2012 C2 Agate grey manual, SC, 19s, 32k miles listed at 57k. Dealer is VERY motivated to move this car, have had it for a year. Report from a friend says it's probably between the two, rock chips but not as bad as the 2013. I actually don't mind the 19s, but would have to pay to lower it a little as I don't like the fender gap. I can't believe the price - this seems like a tremendous value.

So what do you think? I think the blue car is way overpriced, but not sure the dealer will play. Already mentioned the 57k car to him and he balked. I think best case he comes down to 64-65. Plus the shipping. I like the blue, but currently this is probably my third choice, dependent on price.
The 57k car seems like a screaming deal, and looks nice. But I would probably spend 1.5k to lower it. And it doesn't have PASM. I think I could offer 53 and close at 55.
The 69k car has PASM, and seems real nice. Really need to decide if I like PASM. The 5k adder for CPO is BS, I think I could get the price to 64k, maybe offer 62k. But still this car would be 10k higher than the one above. Is 10 grand worth 17k less miles?
Would love your thoughts - thanks.!

I vote for #2. Lowest milage 15k. Great options - heated/cooled seats, Sport Chrono, Sport steering wheel . Nice wheels. Try to get them down - it's listed at $63.9 not sure why you say they are asking $69.
Good luck.

So if a guy (me) was in the market for a 2013-14 base model Carrera, would it be a good idea to wait until after Jan first? My theory is that its a year older and thus the price will magically lower (insert laugh track here).
Another question for the collective: How do get a ballpark price the dealer paid on a lease return? On a new car invoice price is easy to find. The cars Im looking at are CPO, lease returns. I would like to at least know what the dealer profit margin is. Like I said, 'ballpark'.

Thanks Paul - that's actually the one my wife is leaning towards, which surprises me as I thought she would pick the cheapest one. They are asking 69 because they are adding 3k for CPO and 2k for new tires. The 63k price was non-CPOed.

My rule of thumb is that showing up between Christmas and New Year is best, but it might be locational in show regions. There is yearly and quarterly goals to meet for salesperson and dealership and there are too many cars for the available indoor areas and most dealers have the lot full, too, and nobody is going to show up Jan-Feb in the north.

I drive past this dealership on my work commute. If it was a coupe it would be tempting to upgrade from my C2.

Some guy orders $182K custom GTS and checks all the boxes, guy backs out and stiffs dealer, now finding the right buyer begins. Not cool when dudes pull that!
The most expensive GTS I've ever seen.
I'd throw some charcoal or black HRE's on there!
Voodoo Blue ..
