I have been monitoring price of used 991 C2S, and most of them are around $80k-$90k, because they were all MSRP $120k.

In that price range, if I order a lightly order C2S, I priced it out to be $101k.

If I can get 15% of MSRP, it would be $85k, same as a used one.
I will get a brand new car, instead of a used car with options that I didn't
want.

Is it possible to get 15% off?

15% ain't probably gonna happen! Especially on an ordered car.

What's wrong with a used car with under 5K miles that has already taken the big hit? The 120K stickered cars have some great (I think critical options).

I don't believe so on a low option 2015 custom build.

Try for about a 3-5% discount. If you can get over 6% then you are a good negotiator and the dealership is motivated.

Good point on the low options. A stripped down 911 doesn't have a lot of cushion for them. They can do better on discounts on cars with more options. The options are their frosting on the cake and where they make good margins.

i agree some of them have good options that i like but i probably won't order.
i also want one with rear wiper, and i haven't see one so far with the color combo that i like...
i think i will need to give up rear wiper .....

15% on a new order 991 isn't going to happen.. EVER.
More likely to get that on an unsold 2014.
If you're looking to save $$ then consider buying a used one and enjoy the fact that someone else bit the depreciation bullet for you.

I managed to get 7% on my 991 GTS order. Thought it was pretty good. Probably could have pushed for 8% to be honest. Called a bunch of dealers and made them fight it out for my business.

there is no 15 % margin for the dealer to give you that much discount. Your best best is to find a left over 14 or wait till the summer when 991.2 is released and may be you can get a left over 2015 at good discount. amount of discount will depend on how much inventory is left over, and how much Porsche give the dealers trunk money to move that inventory

Well, it is possible to get 15 percent off. One way is to wait for another economic collapse in the U.S. like the one that happened in the Fall of 2008. I remember seeing 15% to 18% percent off of a lot of stock that PAG couldn't move. (Of course another way is to invent a time machine and go back to the aforesaid Fall of 2008 - but if you're gonna do that, and have your heart set on a 911, go back to 1963 for an original 901/911 or 1973 for an RSR. ) Pre-2008 it seems like 6% to 8% wasn't too hard to do. These days I'd guess the average discount is around 5%.

I got 23% off a brand new 2009 911, it was a tough time to sell expensive toys. I would not want to trade economic times with then, nor would I trade my current 911 for that one.

Buy the best 911 that you can afford in these times, don't cheap out too much, you will regret it, if you can't afford exactly what you want, wait a bit and save more. Or stop buying food and clothes

Plus if your budgeted for a new C2S you might can get a CPO C4S

Funny, because I ordered my car and specified the rear wiper. All of my friends (yes, both of them) told me that I was a fool and it would be harder to sell when the time comes. And now here's a potential buyer who wants a wiper!

Of course, my car is not currently for sale, but who knows?
