As a DD, I'd go for the GTS simply because the GT3 is more of a track car that will be too harsh a drive every day or over longer distances.

Why not? Someone around here drives an 08 yellow GT3 every where I go I see him.

Apparently has the white RS I see on occasion too, same person. And he is old, so he should more sensitive to the harshness of it.

Btw is that a .2 turbo in your avatar? Got pics? I like the red.

Why wouldn't you? Brand new GTS or slightly used GT3. Wondering how close the new GTS is to the previous GT3.

Now if it was 991 GT3 or GTS I'd understand your comment.

You act like we are comparing a panamera to a 911.

Most would not use a 997 3 for a daily driver even though you could easily. The motor wants to rev and the ride is as harsh as it can be in a 911. Drive one for a day.

The 991 though is the first 911 I am totally comfortable using as a daily driver. Yes it's bigger and heavier but the ride in a 991 with the suspension off rides really nice. In a PASM 991 suspension on the ride is the same as a 997 without the suspension off. It's very similar. The cabin is also larger. It's easy to use as a daily. Of course if your a E30 BMW kind of guy you'd be ok driving 997 3 as a daily. There's also an old timer in my town that uses a 964 with cup suspension as a daily driver and he obviously loves it. To each their own.

A bit naive. There are guys who DD Lotus 7s, Shelby Cobras, and any number of other rough riding, harsh vehicles that make any Generation GT3 seem quite comfy and docile by comparison.

It all comes down to what compromises you are willing to make in your life. Some will choose to drive a econobox as a daily and keep a GT3 for the weekends. Others will choose a 997 GTS and drive it all the time. A little more performances focused person may choose the GT3 as a daily. Another guy with more expendable income may have a Turbo S as his daily and a GT3RS as a weekend track toy.

Personally I am a performance guy, I buy the highest performance car I can afford and I drive it.

Ok is the 997.2 GT3 harsher than a 13 gt500? I know it isn't harsher than the zr1.

I can only really comment on the ZR1, I found my 2010 to be less harsh than my 2009 Z06. In my opinion neither car was particularly harsh.

Though, other than the lack of ac, I don't find my aluminum seated track car all that harsh.

The new GTS looks great. I think a lightly used 7GT3 would be tough to pass on, though, if that's your other option. If you get the 7GT3 and later decide you want something more comfortable, I'm sure there would be many dealers who would be happy to take it toward a 991 GTS.

Yea problem is I can't find one near me to actually test drive. Then this question would be easily solved. So I was wondering then what other people thought.
