My P-Zero rears made it 16K miles & the fronts are still 50%. I don't mind the
Pirelli's & consequently just ordered new P- Zero rears.
$941 mounted, road force balance + tax (9.8%) OTD.
Was quoted $1379 mounted, road force balance + tax OTD for full set of Michelins.

That's good news to hear you made a decision. I was back and forth on exactly what you just did. Even had the rear 295 Pirelli's sitting at my tire store. I know those guys will sell my 50% tread front tires that are perfect with no repairs for probably $100 a piece used to some fellow.
So far I'm really happy with the MSS's. Only have 500 miles on them so time will tell though. I really thought it was amazing I got just about 25k miles on my P-Zero rears. Awesome.

The Continentals are always really good looking tires. I think if they last just half as long as the P-Zeros but offer more grip on the road and track they will be a good inbetween tire for guys who do a few track days a year.

Interesting side note...if you purchased a new NSX from about '94 on, you had to sign a disclaimer about premature tire wear - IOW you understood they wore out quickly - and they did!
Honda was sued in a class action & had to provide existing customers w/coupons for new tires.

I decided existing fronts & new rears would be gone about the same time on the 991 & I'd see what new selections would be available then.

After owning many NSX's w/ extreme rear toe, became used to buying new rears w/special spec (at the time) directional Yokohama's after about 5K miles & keeping the fronts. Not fun..... I used to love them back in the day. I was only a teenager then!

I too love the smell of new tires at a tire store . . . must be from my first career out of college working as a Dealer Sales Representative for an oil company where our tire goal was the only thing they ever seemed to pay attention to in gauging our sucess. We always said of our oil company "Where tires are number one . . . and gasoline a sideline."

Many quality competitors now. My opinion is they'll sell, but niche
market. Doubt many Porsche owners will cross shop....
Late '15 is the prediction.

Michelin PSS all the way.
Anything else is 2nd best.
Have a bit over 10K on my MPSS and they are holding up very well.

Wow. Looks gorgeous.... The original NSX still looks the part and our Quality Director often brings his to work... Guess that says it all (might mention the tyres to him though lol)

The original NSX's kept other manufacturers on their toes - great cars, but Honda quit on the development very early on. Many quality competitors now. My opinion is they'll sell, but niche market. I'm not sure what's happened to Acura overall? Lexus just took the lead in the Jap luxury segment and never looked back. Seems like Acura hasn't bounced back from the small success they had back in the day.
Just my outsider observations. I haven't read up on them or anything. Just from what I see (and don't see) on the roads.
