I for one disagree that the 50th will be seen as more desirable down the line. It's simply an uglier car and it wasn't exactly a sales success considering it sat on the lot for an extended period of time at numerous dealers around me. Is the 996 "millennium edition" more desirable today? With that I rest my case
This may be the dumbest thing I have ever seen on RL. Your comparing a 996 with *ANY* other 911?
and youre saying a beautiful limited 991 is going to be worth less than a make as many as you want GTS?

Are you familiar with the 7GTS? What did you expect the 1GTS to be? Parts package upgrade with discount is exactly what is to be expected. Nothing mind-blowing but looks like a good deal if you like the options. Personally, I would be quick to pass on Alcantara and CL wheels, but looks like that will easily fixable. Everything else looks good. Very crowded rear badge -- I imagine many will adjust it to look more like the GT3 badge with simply GTS under PORSCHE.

Went to my dealer and got my order for the GTS completed. Was told December delivery is what he was told, but I will be damn happy if I get it in January as the C4S I was going to buy was going to be March delivery.

Very interesting package. I find great that Porsche offers the possibility of a large customizing options from the 911 3.4L up to turbo S.
I bought my 911 50 for driving, my own pleasure and leisure, not for value for the money, a wide subject on the western side of Atlantic... Buy real vintage to create value within a few years.
I don't think that the widebodied 2WD 911 are more on the sporty side that others and would do the link between X51 and GT3: heavier, more grip (back) but more more understeer and a small top speed loss.
Can't wait to see these new cool GTS in the streets next spring.

PSAM is std on the GTS & 10MM lower than a base Carrera ( PASM is OEM on the Carrera S) .

Optional SPASM (for all 991's) is 20MM lower than a base car & 10MM lower than PASM equipped cars . PDCC can be combined w/SPASM if you want it.

The GT3 standard suspension is at least an additional 10MM lower than SPASM.

look again ... those are the "Gt2" sports buckets, they are no longer legal in the US hence their absence in the GT3 until the new seat was recently released.

SPASM is not available on the cabriolets or I think the targas either.

The "web special" on Porscheusa.com specifically talks about the LED lights and describes how wonderful they are. So yes -- they'll be available.

You are correct Larry...SPASM would be too stiff for the body flex that's already built in ha ha....
