Default Comfort Entry seat not going all the way back

I've got Comfort Entry engaged, but when I open the door the seat only moves back about an inch. How do I get it to go all the way back when I open the door?

The bad news is that the seats are set to move back only a certain distance. I called Porsche about this and they told me there is no adjustment for this. Doesn't make much sense, but that is the way it is. A work around is to program one of the memory buttons to go back where you want it. Really defeats purpose though.

^^^^^ I think the above is bad info from whomever you spoke to. I believe you set the entry position of the seat just like other settings...put the seat in the entry position you desire then save it to the key using the buttons on the door. Comfort entry has to be turned on in the vehicle settings on the multi-function display.

See below from Porsche iManual: http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/...Entry-function
Comfort Entry Function
The Easy Entry function makes it easier for you to get in and out of the vehicle.

Easy Entry Function

If persons or animals are within the range of movement of the seat, they could be trapped or crushed when the seat moves into or out of easy entry position.

Switch off the Easy Entry function if a person is behind the driver's seat.
Prerequisite
– The function must be activated on the multi-function display.

For information on switching the Easy Entry function on and off:

Please see the chapter "SWITCHING COMFORT ENTRY ON AND OFF" on page 120.
Leaving the vehicle
The steering wheel moves upwards:
– After removing the ignition key or, on vehicles with Porsche Entry & Drive, after switching off the ignition and opening
the driver's door.

The driver's seat moves to the rear:
– After opening the driver's door and removing the vehicle key or, on vehicles with Porsche Entry & Drive, after switching
off the ignition and opening the driver's door.

Entering the vehicle
Driver's seat and steering wheel are in their Comfort Entry positions.

The steering wheel moves downwards:
– After turning on the ignition.

The driver's seat moves to the stored position:
– After closing the driver's door and inserting the ignition key or, in the case of vehicles with Porsche Entry & Drive,
turning on the ignition.

Information
When the key is changed, the seat may move to its new, key-specific entry position.

Information
Manual intervention in the seat setting interrupts the Easy Entry function.
The driving position must then be set manually.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think the key only stores one position, the driving position. I don't know how to store the "Comfort Position" on the key.

I think the OP wants the seat to move back more upon exit and has no issues with the seat moving forward upon entry. No where in the manual does it detail how to make the seat move back more to the rear when you turn off ignition and open the door (at least I could not find it).

Correct. That's what I'm trying to figure out. I want it to move further rearward. I couldn't find it in the paper manual nor online "manual".

You are correct, the key only stores one position and the key remembers it when you hit Set and #3 (which holds memory to the key). However, as you have 2 fobs, you can set two memory settings - for example, one for you and one for the wife. I think you may also have to hit Auto Memory in the multi function display.

Same for me. The key only stores the driving position and does not move all the way back for comfort entry. It only moves back a limited extent.

I believe there is no solution to this problem unfortunately.

Interesting...the manual talks about passengers or animals behind the driver's seat being crushed as the seat goes back, would think it goes back about as far as it can. I don't use the feature, will have to go try it out.
