Default Break in a 991

How many miles should one break in their car before driving it the way it was meant to be driven? Is there a preferred way to break in the car?

My salesman and the manual says 3000 km, which is what I'm working towards.

You can break into a 991 with a brick rock or a hammer if you are more sophisticated

Under 4000rpm till 2000mi

If you use the 3000 km suggestion, that equals to 1864.11 mi. So you could start flooring it sooner.

On a related note, do people think the PDK or 7MT is better?

I stayed under 4,000 varied RPMs for the first 500 miles and then let it rip after that.

I just got my 911 last Friday…base MT. What's best way to "brake in" the brakes? When close to stopping, the noise is like a whistle!
