Default Grill Badge on 911-50?

So the grill treatment on the 911-50 lets you attach grill badges perfectly! What do you think? I bought one for the Maverick's region. I went to Lowes and got the right size screws and added washers. I also put a rubber backing on the badge so it didn't scratch the grill.

What's the verdict? Look good? Should the washer keep the nut from unscrewing? I don't want nuts falling off into the engine fans!

Nice !
My enameled PCA and GGR badges just sit in my trophy case now, since newer 911 engine covers have not allowed mounting like that for awhile .
I think a coupe with that grill( now avail for $600 from Suncoast ) with factory optioned aluminum window surround, duck tail body kit and factory black wheels with polished lip would look very early 70s Carrera - like

That badge looks good. I'd run it at Parade, maybe some region events.
If you want to leave it on longer then you should safety the nut. A good fix is to cut the bolt short with a hacksaw or side cutters. The resulting rough edge of the cut will serve as a lock-nut. Or at least double-nut it. The way it is now that washer alone will not do.

Badges are meant to go on grilles? On cars? On Porsches? I thought these were only for attaching to garage walls! Damn!
In general, the best advice on the subject was found in the old movie 'The Treasure of the Sierra Madre'.

"Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!"

You asked so I'll answer. I think it's really ugly and cheap looking. Sorry.

I put a badge or two on my MINI, but I wouldn't on a 911. Maybe they need more badges, hmm. Should I get the chrome rear louvers and use my MINI badges? I think Bessy would object, so maybe not. Still a thought for those inclined however. Hehe.

Not my cup of tea, but it is not offensive or ugly or anything.
I would definitely use at least a good lock washer or a nylon lock-nut - the flat washers you have won't stop the nuts from vibrating loose!
And trim the bolts flush with the nuts, for a cleaner look, too.
