I also thought about requesting the Targa bar in back.
The 'black' rendition is simply stunning!
I am not a fan of more than two colors on a car, hence the Mexico Blue, black top with black interior.
I would have the interior trim done in black leather on your Targa.-Dick
Thx Suzy. This all black one looks perfect to me. I'd love to see it in real life like that. It sure addresses all the esthetic reservations I had about it !
Eduardo I wondered if you rememered that transaction, loved that green 997 of yours.
Yes that was the "Cork" leather.
Susy I am really intrigued by the PTS pics you made both blue cars and the Conda green. Can you do one in "Signal Yellow'? I recall it as a golden/orange sort of yellow.
Thanks!

Here it is, one with alu Targa bar, one with a black Targa bar
BTW: I've made almost all calipers grey, since I personally like the advantages of PCCB, but not the yellow calipers. I wish Porsche offered the possibillity to get the calipers in various colors, like most other sportscar manufacturers.
Yes, that gulf orange Targa...Is it the same orange shade as this one:
Don't think so. That British .2 997 Targa is either 'RS Orange' if it's a MY2009/10 or 'Pastell Orange' if it's a MY2011/12'. From the photo, I would say its bright enough to be 'Pastell Orange'. 'Colour Code' is Z17.
'Gulf Orange' was just recently approved for PTS on the 991 & 981. It was not on the approved list for the 997 series.
If in fact that is pastel orange it is simply stunning!!!!!! Pastel is typically pale in color and this particular orange really pops and is quite bright.

Don't pay too much attention to the 'name' the factory uses for these PTS colors. They sometimes pull them out of their...hats. But in any case, 'Pastell Orange' is an extremely bright color - much more so that the old 'RS Orange' of the .1 gt3 RS or the '08 Limited Edition Boxsters! Attached are photos of a 'Pastell Orange' MY2011 .2 997 gt3 which I took on two different locations in 2012.
