I am looking at the smarttop from bumper plugs controller to do a one touch up and down on the top. It can also be done with the remote. Anybody have any experience with this or others like it?

Installed a couple of weeks ago on my 991s. It is really awesome. Install is very easy. There is a DIY over on 6speed.

How does it work with the remote?

With top up press unlock three times and top goes down. Windows are either down or up depending on how you program the module.

With top down, three clicks of the remote puts the top up.

Another +1, I installed mine a few months ago, it's great. It was perhaps a little harder than the instructions over at 6speed, but only because I hard a really had time seeing what the heck I was doing back there. My first try was a failure and I tripped a bunch of computer faults that the dealer had to clear. Second try was a success.

There are better prices on Smart-top if you do a Google search, actually buying direct from manufacture is cheaper than Bumper Plug. I am not anti bumper plugs, they are just overpriced on this item. Try Motive Mods http://www.motivemods.com in Las Vegas, much better prices. I purchased mine from them

Great I will check that out. I did look at the manufactures site and for 991 bumper plug is a couple dollars cheaper. Maybe cheaper for other models.

Any competitors to look at?
