Put a set of Pilot Sport Cup 2s (like the GT3 wears) on the Turbo and the numbers would tell a very different story.

I will post them when I get it for sure. I will give as fair and comprehensive review as I can from a non competition driver (for now anyway) regarding differences in feel, performance characteristics, build quality and satisfaction.
Be safe and have a fine afternoon

As for the merits of the post itself, hey, people make mistakes, it takes ***** (sic) to own up to the mistake and pay your school fees as the OP clearly has!
Personally, I'm too **** and pedantic, it took me about 2 years to eventually buy my car. Started out looking at a used 997, then almost bought a 997GTS and then eventually bought the 991S - and I'm so glad I waited and considered my decision! One of the best purchases I've ever made - and I've also made my share of mistakes in this regard.
Good luck to you Patty

I always find it interesting when someone posts something contrary to the usual threads. How dare someone post a consenting opinion about my dear car
reminds me a bit of Suzi changing her mind over and over about her Audis and Porsches. And I applaud them for sticking around and defending their position.

I vividly remember the road to my first Porsche. That one took me about 5 years to decide as I'm an extreme and thourough perfectionist ! Doubting between Corvette Z06, Lotus exige, Caterham SuperSport, Donkervoort D8 Cup, Lambo Gallardo, Ferrari 360, Maserati Tropheo, bmw m3, Honda NSX and S2000, Radical SR3, Wiesman, Impreza WRX and more before I pulled the Porsche trigger ! It was a bit over the top ! Typical paralysis by analysis !
The latest one was less than a year. I'm getting better ;-)
You could say we might be each others antithesis LOL

Analytical research from all the various places is, for me fun, but the best part is getting out and actually seeing what may fill the bill. It is a shame that there are quite a few cars available in Europe and ROW that are not available here in the states.
That was quite a diverse list of candidates you had on the path to your first Porsche. The list for me doesn't really have what I might call exotics on it (Ferrari, Lamborghini etc...) as the cars I get usually see longer trips during the year and some of the places I go are pretty far from dealer services, though there are certainly scattered specialists throughout the country.
I do most of the basic maintenance necessary for the cars we own but that gets less as the cars get more specialized. I will do more tasks on an Audi than I will on a Porsche given as I have more experience and tooling that I know works on them. The others generally have (with a few exceptions) the same wheel sizes all around so rotating tires gets done regularly and a spare set of winter tires is kept for the trips to ski country. Usually the maintenance is relaxing and enjoyable when there are no time constraints. If we build a new home, I will be looking into having a capable lift included in the garage as I enjoy tinkering with various projects.
Well, off to play the registration game with an Audi.
Do be safe and keep warm. It is chilly here and the heated seats will get used today.
