Felt a big difference between a MT and PDK 2014 C2S
I test drove two 2014 C2'S one with the MT and one with the PDK.
I could not believe the difference in performance.
The PDK equipped car felt lightening fast while the MT car just felt fast.
I've always had MT cars so I'm not sure if I would get bored with a PDK, even though it does offers better acceleration.
I never thought the difference would feel this noticeable.
The stats say 0-60 for MT 4.3sec and PDK 3.9sec.
Tough decision.

What do you want the car for ? Performance ? Tradition ?
If you are in the US:
If it's tradition, oldschool sportscar / manly feeling, go MT.
If it's performance, efficiency, high tech, go PDK.
If you are in Europe:
just get PDK
And it probably won't make a difference to you, but it is not only performance that is up with the PDK, also mileage and co2 is better !

All over the WORLD: If you want a SPORTSCAR go MT.
If it's performance, efficiency, high tech and 0-60MPH go NISSAN GTR.
If you are in Europe: just get a CITROEN DS3. And it probably won't make a difference to you, but it is not only performance that is up with the DS3, also mileage and co2 is better !

LOL, this is a long running debate with no right answer. You drove them both, buy the one you want to live with for a few years or longer.
For me, the PDK was an easy choice. It makes it pleasant to drive in traffic, I can talk on the phone hands free, which I do frequently for work (I do have to still pay for the car), and when I get to the track, I put the car in Sports Plus and it shifts great. I leave it in automatic, but most tracks have 2-3 corners where I downshift manually to be in the right gear for full acceleration on the way out.
I have owned manual cars and have an older manual race car, and have no problems shifting, heel-and-toeing, etc. However, I would never buy another manual if a double-clutch or equivalent was available. They are fantastic.

Here's an idea: I'll drive what I want, when I want.
It makes a big difference. For better or worse, modern Porsches have so many creature comforts that getting stuck in traffic is no longer as much of a pain as it used to be. PDK comes in handy on a daily basis in this area, where traffic jams (and rain showers) can spring up at a moment's notice for no obvious reason.
When I test drove my PDK car, I deliberately asked to go out and get stuck in traffic to see how it handled that particular corner of the envelope. It was raining too.

I have 28k miles on my 991c2s mt that I use as a DD for my 21 mile per day one way commute in Atlanta traffic, rain or shine...I enjoy every stop and go....especially the go! The only change I would make would be sunroof delete.

Not that this will matter, your car should be set up to please yourself and no one else, but I heard this is the last year for the MT and that we can expect to see the few MT cars gain in resale at least 20% per year- and even more for cars not equipped with Sport Chrono and its involvement-sapping downshift-blipper.

That's a smart move. Just make sure they are 991s and not 991S's. I'm pretty sure those 20% annual appreciation figures are only for the 991. The smaller, lower power 991 requires a lot more manly shifting, which is of course the whole point of driving in the first place. (Remember the MT video where the reviewer is shifting up and down, up and down, all the while going the same speed on a straight road? Now that's driving!) The 991 also avoids things like PASM and PTV that Porsche forces on hapless 991S owners. In fact I would avoid all options, unless of course they make the car louder.
