Default C4 Build and Questions

So heres what I'm leaning towards

C4 Black on Black PDK
Carrera Classics + Colored Cap
Premium Package Plus w/18 way Sports seats (any opinions on these?)
LED Headlights, Glass Sunroof, Window Trim in Aluminum
Sport Design Steering Wheel and Side Mirrors
Park Assist front and Rear, Sport Chrono, Bose
Model Deletion, Sport tailpipes, Power Steering Plus
Aluminum Filler Cap, Luggage net in passenger footwell
PDK in Aluminum, Voice Control, Steering column in leather

$120.5* (My walk out price, have a buddy who works for Porsche)

Suncoast
Front Spoiler lip
Front Break Upgrade (Ill be painting the rears red to match)
Wheel Spacers 7mm front 15mm rear
Porsche Stem caps (couldn't help myself)

$2600 + $500 install from A local shop here in LA

Al and Eds Audio
Retro fit of the Rear Camera w PCM integration (turbo or cayenne camera)
$1k

Everything totals $126.6k

Also Priced out a C4S with the same Specs, came out to $133.5k
+all the other things I intend to get - the Breaks totals $136.5k

I dont ever plan on tracking my Porsche, just a GT for me and maybe some weekend fun. Are any of the suspension upgraded good for making the cars ride smoother (not looking to make it a couch but just wondering)

Im also looking at a used 4S but its been slim pickings finding one that has my essentials (glass sunroof, window trim, leds, and sd mirrors and steering wheel)
obviously I could retro fit but if I did that it'll end up costing me just as much as buying new. Im not sure if thats true for a used 12 CS but none of them have a glass sunroof.

Im looking forward to hearing opinions as this is my first post. Im happy to be a part of the community.

If it were me I would do your C4S option. I'm not sure why you want to upgrade the front brakes. OEM Porsche breaks are awesome and you not going to track so save the funds.

Been smitten by the 991 bug.......

Reading about everyone options is great......

I'm a former 97 TTS owner ( don't ask why I sold, I ask myself that now)

Need to trim my build though. Every time I configure I am over 140k on a C4S

Black on black will be great......

I have to have the Sport Design Package for sure....

The problem I'm having with a S variant is, can you really feel that much of a difference in performance in your everyday if you don't plan on pushing it? The front breaks from S.C are OEM S breaks, I simply like the ascetics of the bigger breaks upfront opposed to the same size standard breaks.

Im very excited about this purchase. It took a lot of thought given I've been a 997.1 Targa 4S fan for YEARS *Didn't like the front and rear bumpers of the 997.2, although the 997.2 is a better machine* I was very disappointed when the 991 Targa spy shots surfaced bc that car will appeal to only a select few. Could you imagine the 991 with the former Targa's full glass roof, it'd sell like crazy. I decided on the 991 simply bc its so beautiful in and out, not to mention all the hardware upgrades. Hows the 997TT treating you

I just bought my first 911 a month ago. C4 White. I was going to order but dealer discounted a 2013 nicely loaded from $121 down to $106k.

I decided the C4 would be a good beginning for me and later allow me to appreciate the S model on a move up.

White with white techno wheels
Pse
Pdk with SC

Love this car!

White wasn't my first choice but my wife liked it and that made the whole purchase fly!

Welcome! This is always fun and exciting, isn't it?! Here are some opinions

Premium Package Plus w/18 way Sports seats (any opinions on these?)I have these and find them perfect for me. Not everybody does, go sit in some.
LED Headlights, Glass Sunroof, Window Trim in AluminumI prefer the black window trim on a black car. see my avatar for example
Sport Design Steering Wheel and Side Mirrors yes on the wheel, mirrors weren't available for me, I am trying to find out if I can retrofit
Park Assist front and Rear, Sport Chrono, Bosesport chrono is a must in my book, I like the Bose, but spend more time listening to the motor.
Model Deletion, Sport tailpipes, Power Steering Plus i'm partial to deleting the model info. I wouldn't (didn't) spend the money on the steering
Aluminum Filler Cap, Luggage net in passenger footwellthe filler cap is "aluminum look" not aluminum, just so you know. I think it is a waste of money
PDK in Aluminum, Voice Control, Steering column in leather none of this added any value for me

$120.5* (My walk out price, have a buddy who works for Porsche)

Suncoast
Front Spoiler lip
Front Break Upgrade (Ill be painting the rears red to match)don't know why you would do this for the usage you describe
Wheel Spacers 7mm front 15mm rear I have the Porsche factory 5mm spacers
Porsche Stem caps (couldn't help myself) you couldn't help yourself, but i bet someone else will help themselves to yours.
don't forget to change out to the clear side markers. Most dealers will throw this in at delivery.

$1k I suppose this is valuable depending on where you tend to drive/park. I just look in the mirror and out the window.

Everything totals $126.6k

Also Priced out a C4S with the same Specs, came out to $133.5k
+all the other things I intend to get - the Breaks totals $136.5k

I dont ever plan on tracking my Porsche, just a GT for me and maybe some weekend fun. Are any of the suspension upgraded good for making the cars ride smoother (not looking to make it a couch but just wondering) I think the standard suspension is very smooth - certainly the best ever for a 911 in that regard

I would recommend you look at your list again and see what options you can live without and find a way to get into a C4S at a price that works for you.

Im looking forward to hearing opinions as this is my first post. Im happy to be a part of the community. Good luck! just remember, the waiting is the hardest part!...and once you pull the trigger, no one will believe you until you post pics

My dealer refuses to install the Porsche crested valve caps on a 991 due to the possibility of a reaction between the cap and the valve stem (due to different metals) causing the valve cap to get frozen to the stem resulting in having to replace the whole piece including the TPMS. Don't laugh, I had the exact problem with a Chrysler 300 SRT8 and I had to buy two new valve stems/TPMS units.
