Default embarrassing question re 991

So, I've had the car a while, I've looked through the manual, but can't figure this out.
Front fog lights, how do you turn them on?
They run as daylight running lights, but not the whole fog lamp. the fog light setting only illuminates the rear fog lights, but when i turn the car of, and park, they seem to come on fully as part of the exit/courtesy setting. I know I'm missing something very simple, and I'm sure I'm going to feel stupid in a couple of minutes,

TIA

^^^^ No, Limey, THAT's not what Kosmo meant!! ^^^

He meant try pulling on and simultaneously turning the light switch ****... it pulls out on many Posrches to turn on the fogs... maybe also on a 991?

you have to turn the headlight switch to the manual "on" then pull out. the "auto" switch spot won't pull out. hope this helps.

Well that sure makes 'em super tough to turn on, then.

So the lights that look like fog lights are just the daytime running lights?
That's strange, I thought that as per my first note that they have different modes, I will double check again even I get home
Thx

Correct. I was told the new lights on the 991 are so good, that fogs are no longer required.

Front fog lights were pretty much rendered obsolete with the projection lamp and their sharp vertical cutoff and the various adaptive side illuminating features. (And it seemed most of the people that used them were for the DRL-like styling anyway!)
