14 vs 18 way seat w leather interior prices
Anyone know why when you configure 14 and 18 way seats with "leather seats" the price difference is like $50 but when you configure the same seats with full "leather interior" the 18 way is about $1,100 more??

Good question. And 14-way leather seats costs $50 more (not less!) than 18-way leather seats. But that one actually makes sense because the 14 uses leather on the back while the 18 is plastic. Covering 18-way seat back in leather is an $1870 option. Probably there are areas covered in the 18-way leather interior that aren't, or are covered in lesser quality leather, when ordering 14-way. Suzy posted on leather interiors recently, but her pdf doesn't show any differences other than the seat back shells. Sounds like a Z356 question to me. You may find the answer on his astounding Custom Ordering a 991, 'Porsche Exclusive' and You! thread. Or perhaps the Great One will make an appearance and answer this one himself?

What's the 14 vs 18-way average body type, on average?...short vs tall, slim vs avg vs laterally challenged (sorry, don't know the politically correct term). I know that it's best to try each and see. I actually ordered the 18-way since I thought it has more lateral support for spirited driving. And I actually dig the "winged" appearance of the 18's.

The 18 way are for more lateral support. I'm 6'3" and 280lbs. I DON"T WANT more lateral support. The 14 way were more comfortable for me but I won't be going to the track. Also, those "wings" are more prone to scuffing.

I'm gonna do my part to make amends for all my off-topic transgressions (well some of 'em anyways) and point out the OP is looking to understand why there's a $1k+ increase in Leather interior with the 18-way seat? Not fit, price.
amdave, the Z356 thread is a long read, but you'll learn a lot, maybe even find your answer...

I'm 5'10" and 148lbs. I find the 18-ways very uncomfortable. Much preferred the 14-ways in my Cayman (though it was an older model, so maybe they've changed and also aren't comfortable for me).

This is actually a very good point. I never noticed it. I always automatically select 18-way full leather. I don't want anything else. Can't find a clue why this is the fact...
EDIT:
I did some more research and I found the following facts, that I've made a little sheet of.
The 18-way seats come standard with the option “leather seats”. They are not available in “partial leather seats”. The cost for the 18-way seats themselves is $3825, with no additional cost for the option “leather seats”. (The backrest shells are NOT covered in leather on the 18-way seats)
The 14-way seats come standard as “partial leather seats” and cost $2320. The additional cost for the option “leather seats” is $1555.
Option “Leather seats”
18-way seats: 3825+ 0 = 3825
14- way seats: 2320+1555 = 3875
The additional cost for “Full leather interior”, for both seats is $3690. However, Porsche reduced the price of the 18-way seats by $360 because the backrest shells are not covered in leather on these seats.
Option “Full leather interior”
18-way seats: 3465+3690 = 7155
14-way seats: 2320+3690 = 6010

If you look at the sheet I made above, you see that the option "leather seats" is standard for the 18-way seats, so no additional costs. They are not available as "partial leather seats". The seats themselves, incl. The option "leather seats" cost $ 3825.
The 14-way seats come standard as "partial leather seats" and cost $ 2320. The additional costs for "leather seats" is $1555. ----> 2320+1555 = 3875
That is where the price difference comes from.

It has nothing to do with the leather itself.

Meaning the cost for the leather interior in both is the same, and "full leather" one would assume would include leather seats as well, the difference shouldn't be so much. Should just be the cost of the leather seats + cost of the additional leather interior. Not sure if I am making sense lol.

NOT true about once you go 18 way you never go back. The 14 way were more comfortable for me....as the dealer said they would be. Seats fit individually and I suspect I fit a seat MUCH differently that Suzy. Try them both. Suzy, want to compare hip size? I'm the size of an average offensive guard. Also, the wings may hold you better during spirited driving but they are a little bit more difficult to get in and out of. I'm also older than Suzy.
