Looks like the Show N Go needs 1 to 2 inches for mounting.
I'd rub it off on the first drive mounted on my Sport PASM equipped 991S, as I've rubbed the spoiler many times already. But I like the concept.

You can mount it anywhere.
How mid mount
Not all of them move either. Some are solid, with a pull pin that allows you to manually take off the plate. (As moving plates are illegal in some states)

I bought the license plate holder from US Mill works for my Cayenne, it can be offset on the bolt so not to interfere with the parking sensors. Website says it may interfere but with the options to offset it, it can be avoided. Great product.

We make a great no drill front license plate mount we call The Platypus, it utilizes the tow hook eye that is hidden on your bumper for mounting your license plate.
The Platypus features;
Quick removal for shows and track days
Inflexible Construction with Stainless Hardware
Euro Plate optional fitting
Made in the USA!
If you're interested, check us out www.cravenspeed.com/the-platypus-license-plate-mount/
Members can PM me for a coupon code!
We've got models for Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, 911, Panamera.
EDIT- It will interfere with the parking sensor just next to the tow bolt on the 991.

Forgive me, that was copy/pasted from a post for Panamera's.
The 991 has a parking sensor just next to the tow bolt, and it does interfere. Although we have had customers disable the sensor, to avoid the ticket and keep a plate up front. Again I apologize for the confusion/mistake.

Burning Brakes
I know everyone is concerned about drilling holes in the bumper, and I understand that. For me, it seems to be more an issue of aesthetics. The 911 doesn't lend itself well to having a front plate like, say the R8 (with it's flat front bumper) or a Corvette. If you're going to put a plate on, does it matter as much that the holes are there? You can't see them. Just getting a sense of what the main concern is. I think I'd just keep the plates off for vanity's sake. The one explanation is the possibility of moving from a state that requires a plate to one that doesn't.
