I assume it was intentional by the way the photo was edited. It is done by blurring the edges. If you have never seen a tilt shift video you should.

The decals work on these cars as the doors are a bit longer than the previous generation so it fills the space nicely.

It's a cool video and effect for fun. But personally, I do not want my car to look like a diecast/ toy in a photo.

Ya photo editing was cheesy (free app on my phone). But the car is no toy. And whenever I finally pull the trigger on a GT3RS, you better believe I'm gonna leave those same RS stripes on there! Glad we all have different personal preferences, otherwise we'd all have the same car!

We just bought this Cayman this week, previous owner added the decals. I'll probably eventually peel 'em off.

Sorry accidentally sent before I finished writing. What I meant to say is I had the decals recently added and I like that extra character it gives as someone mentioned the doors are fairly long, in my opinion. I ordered them from dealer so they are the factory decals.

One mans character is another mans flare. Er, flair.
And the front is fairly wide….

The decals look nice. I don't have them on my car, but I'm not a hater.

Default Door decal Fitting help

I just ordered a set of the Carrera S decals. Can someone who got theirs from the factory give me the measurement from the bottom of the door to the bottom of the decal and from the edge of the door to the outside edge of the "S" so I can affix it the same way as the factory does.

Thanks

Where did you order the decals from? I know Suncoast has them but only in "Carrera 911 4 S" and you have to "cut/paste" as you want. Is there a way to just order what you want? I'm thinking of just "911 S" in black on white as that is what is on the rear. My OCD thinks they should match!!!

These fine people will create any sticker you want. When I shortened the "Carrera GTS" on my 997 to read just "GTS," I ordered the new stickers from them.

As this is a bit of an experiment to see if I liked it on, I didn't want to spend the $100 + on the Suncoast factory version, so I just purchased what apears good replica (at least the script style is exactly the same from pictures of both) for only $15 from eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/181756446373

If you go to his store there he has variiuos versions for the "4" and full stripe versions in addition to this plain "Carrera S" script version.

I'll post on quality when I get it (and if I can ever get against a factory one to compare).

But until I do, if someone has the measurements from door bottom and door side of the factory one, I'd appreciate it.
