Default 991 Targa roof construction

I came along this article. Looks like the patent application for the new 991 Targa.

Looks great, the drawback with targa always the price.

Yes I can remember that indeed. The price definitely will be higher, maybe even higher than a cab? But there are lots of enthusuaist that like this form of the Targa and are willing to pay that extra money, including me I think. This is a true Targa and not a coupe with a big sunroof, which I really didn't like at all.

Rumors are that it will be introduced around spring 2014.

Buyer remorse already? It is very tough hanging out here, but tougher for not
Personally, I'll take a hardtop convertible if they make one, but targa does have its own uniqueness. I think targa was priced near turbo territory on 997.

Haha No!
Still love the C4S I odered and there's no buyer remorse, but when my C4S needs to be replaced after 2 or 3 years (depends on the milage) I will certainly think of a 991.2 Targa 4S

I'm just curious. What makes you think your car needs to be replaced after 2 or 3 years?

The car doesn't really need to be replaced. I just want to keep the milage below 60000km. I'm planning to drive about 20000-25000km a year, so that would be 2-3 years.
Besides that I just like to have a new car once in every 2-3 years.

Ok, sounds perfectly resonable. From a Porsche point of view at least. I was afraid you're going to torture it until it has to be retired at the age of three.
