Default How much is too much?

I have noticed some 991's have the model designation decal on the bottom of the door. I like that and was thinking of ordering the decals for my car.

My problem is this. My car came with P O RS C H E
911 Carrera S
on the back. Is adding
the decal on the door
too much?

My wife thought so, so I didn't order it. The car could have zero badges and even small children would know it's a 911.

I think it is a bit overkill unless on a gt3 rs where it sort of fits the "loud" theme. But this is your car and you said yourself that you think it looks cool. So if you want to do it I suggest debadging the rear carrera s portion.

I think having '911' in the back and Carrera S on the doors would be fine. But not the setup you described.
On a side note, I'm planning on modding my car, including aerokit front and GT3 spoiler + diffuser in the back as far as exterior mods go. I will be making 'Carrera RS' decals made to go on the side doors. I wonder how many people I could confuse!

I agree.
Taking it a step further would slingshot you into overdoing territory

It's totally personal, you should decide for yourself. I have all possible badging on mine and love it. Screw what others think, this is your car.

Decal was ordered last week and installed today. I cut the 911 off. Now all it shows at at the bottom of the door is Carrera S. Silver on black gives it a nice little accent.

I may remove the "911 Carrera S" on the rear and replace it with bigger "911S" under the P O R SC H E.

you might also consider having the badge lettering painted body color. If I ever put badging back on my car, I'll likely have it painted black.
