Porsche Ruined the 911 - Again!
Like every previous generation, there will be complainers that Porsche ruined the 911 with the latest generation. Some of you are guilty of it and display your displeasure vociferously on this forum. And, like your predecessors, they were wrong then and you are wrong now. But don't take my word for it:

You get the same predictable "complaining" with every new Ferrari, Corvette, Mustang, and Miata. It seems to be a challenge for people to pick out one feature and declare the new generation a failure.
I skip those posts.

To be fair, I don't remember any complaints at all in the era of the 964 -> 993 changeover.
But yes, people who moan about 'electric steering' when virtually everything else affecting steering feel has also changed in the 981/991 generation have always perplexed me.

It wasn't as good as the 996 which wasn't as good as the 997 which wasn't as good as the 991, ad infinitum. Would you want the 911 to stay a 993 forever and not evolve?

As I recall, there were complaints about loss of road feel, steering too assisted, took the driver's skill out, body too smoothed out, loss of character...It was a great improvement from my perspective but typical reactions to change and improvement.
