Your feedback on my 991TT build sheet, before I order...
Hey folks, I just got a call from the local dealer saying they have an allocation for an October 2013 build and expected January 2014 delivery...
Any feedback on the build sheet here:
- Base model 2014 twin-turbo 991
- White exterior paint, $0
- Black / platinum grey two tone leather interior, $430
- ParkAssist front and rear, $380
- Sunroof in glass, $1990
- PDK, $0
- PDCC Dynamic Chassis Control, $3160
- Sport Chrono Package, $4090
- 20-inch Turbo wheel, $0
- Seat heating front, $0
- Luggage net passenger footwell, $0
- Smoking package, $0
- Adaptive sports seats 18 way, $1145
- Carbon interior package, $1990
- Center console trim in carbon, $630
It will be my daily driver and not a track car. I currently own a 997 twin-turbo.
The dealer suggested not getting ceramic brakes but was highly recommending the PDCC.
Thanks in advance for the constructive feedback.
Best,
Kris

OK I'll bite - most are personal choices, but it is good to see some "realistic" option pricing due to the added standard features in the turbo! The $4090 for sport chrono is outrageous however I guess they include that "overboost" feature as justification? As you probably know, if you add too many of these pricey options you might as well go TTS.
The PDCC is interesting ... this car would have a remarkable chassis with dynamic dampers, sway bars, engine mounts, rear steering, all wheel drive, electric assisted steering, did I miss anything? I'd love to be the owner during the warranty period, but run away after that!

Hi Kris,
Allthough not a guy, I'll give a response to your question
Nice build you got there. Glass sunroof looks very nice on a white car!
PDCC is an item I'm not completely sure about myself with my order. It's recommended by my salesman too. Didn't notice a huge difference between the car with and without, allthough it stays almost completely flat in corners. But it makes the car also a little bit more comfortable on bad roads. So I think I will order it.
Personally I would get a darker single-tone interior on that white exterior. Espresso or Agate grey and than maybe opt for deviated stitching in white or silvergrey. But that is of course a matter of personal taste.
Also would recommend to get the XNS (steering column casing in leather) if you go with another interior color than black or in your case platinum/black.
But it's a very nice build and I wish you a lot of healthy driving pleasure!

Definitely get the deviated stitching, white for sure but if I would have to do it again, I would no doubt go for Yellow stitching and Yellow calipers.
CF is great but I personally think it makes the interior looks cold not to mention people always have issues with CF peeling/cracking or fading etc.
How about leather or white center console, leather vents and other bits to add little warmth to the interior.

Congratulations on your upcoming new car.
The only question I would have outside of aesthetic choices which are very personal
would be PDCC. From what I have read some testers feel this is the main contributor to what some people say is a lack of steering feel. I have not driven a PDCC equipped car, so takey comments with a pinch of salt. maybe you could take a test drive with a PDCC equipped car and compare.
either way I'm sure you will be happy

I'm of the belief that it should either be a coupe or a convertible and am therefore not a fan of sun roofs.
If I were speccing a TT, my interior would be Yachting blue with white stitching everywhere. I'd do white gauges and red seat belts. Since the glass roof looks good with the white exterior, I'd get the roof wrapped in CF or matte black or simply painted black, matte or gloss.
Goes to show, their ain't no accounting for taste and different strokes for different folks.
Chacun a son gout.

You have a great build! I wouldnt go crazy adding more options.
I love a black leather interior with a white exterior, timeless classic combination, add CF trim and red seatbelts for a sportier look.

Really good feedback everyone, thank you.
I think I will drop PDCC and reconsider some of the interior outfitting per the suggestions above. Will post the final order here too...

I agree with Sanibel. I don't care for sunroofs and really dislike the two-tone look of the glass roof on anything other than a black car. Just personal preference however....

Your build looks nice. Congrats on the order. Regarding the sunroof, I have the glass roof on my c2. I have never liked cars without a sunroof because I like to take full advantage of any sunlight that comes my way up here in upstate ny. Keeps my interior warmer when the weather is not, as this is my dd. Also, the car has a substantial buffer issue at highway speeds and opening the sunroof seems to quell this. But, I have had some rattles and frankly it is driving me mad. I am not the one to be ocd about this sort of thing either. I need to bring it back to the dealer as I am sure they can sort it out. To be clear it may not be from the sunroof mechanism itself but it certainly originates in that area which leads me to believe it is related.

Would you consider the black and red two-tone interior on the White?

5 352 Porsche Dynamic Chassis Cntrl 3,160.00
6 435 20-inch 911 Turbo S wheel 3,835.00
7 541 Seat ventilation (front) 840.00
8 581 Luggage net in passenger footwell 0.00
9 583 Smoking package 0.00
10 625 Porsche Entry & Drive 1,090.00
11 636 ParkAssist (front and rear) 380.00
12 640 Sport Chrono Package 4,090.00
13 653 Sunroof in glass 1,990.00
14 658 Power Steering Plus 270.00
15 P07 Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way) 1,145.00
16 XPT Storage bin lid with Crest 330.00
I like the seat ventilation and the keyless entry and drive is nice. I have it in my Cayenne and 991S.
A turbo S is about 25K more. 10K of which is ceramic brakes. I didn't get an S because I didn't want the ceramic brakes.

If you haven't already done so and it's not too late, I would suggest finding a C4S with PDCC to take for a drive. I noticed a huge difference coming from my 997.2 C4S
