Default Bought a used 991CS, calipers were painted over. What to do?

I recently bought a 2012 991 Carrera S. The red steel calipers were painted yellow by the previous owner. What to do??? Do i strip the paint and try repainting back to red or on to silver? Should I start considering new OEM calipers? Aftermarket BBK?

Having a good shop remove and repaint them should be the least expensive option- assuming they are not damaged in any way there is no reason to replace them unless you need higher performance ones for endurance racing.

Once you are 100% certain they didn't some that way... Meaning they aren't actual ceramic brakes, then any reputable body shop can paint them, and it should be quite cheap.

If I bought the car with quality-painted yellow calipers I'd just keep it and smile. You aren't trying to pose as something you are not, that's the way it came, man. Enjoy

Keep these...but if they don't look original...spend a bit more money and get the actual ones

I had a local restoration shop work on them to get them back to stock. Here's a photo of the car from yesterday morning.
