we exited the freeway onto the somewhat-twisty M-32. The Stingray is great on the freeway, but it really shines on back roads.
M-32 between US131 and M66 is a fantastic drive! I've done it many times on my way to Charlevoix. Tight turns and steep elevation changes. I've never taken my 928 Up North, but I've driven that stretch in my wife's A4 Avant Sport which is no slouch - especially in the corners.

O/T, but another great drive in that area is M119 from Harbor Springs to Cross Village. The nominal speed limit is 45, but there aren't many places you can get up to that speed before you need to brake for the next curve. And the road hugs the Lake Michigan shoreline much of the way, so the views are often spectacular as well.

Unghh. Didn't get past the photo at the top of the page before I had to look back at Bill Coleman's 928 for some eyebleach.

Default Looks good

I think the new Vett looks good, I have seen dozens on the road at this point. Almost one every day. May not be your cup of tea but that does not mean it is bad. I am fairly sure that performance wise they will be neck and neck.

I think the truth of the matter is that Porsche fans should be very appreciative of of what General Motors has done and is doing. They continue to push Porsche with a car that cost significantly less. The competition is making Porsche up their game.

For me living in the heart of GM country I do not want a Vett simply because there will be many on the road locally and I want to be a little unique at least.

I'm sure that was tongue in cheek, but I think $143,000 could be spot on, before options of course.

It's starting to look like one heck of a bargain.
