Nice garage, and nice 991. Every time I see the platinum wheels I like them more.

Looks like the bikes are caught in a web. Is there a Spyder in there too?

Okay, lame.

A friend has the same lift and high ceiling. His 914 is on the lift. 911 Cab under it. Boxster alongside.
And.... no green with envy icon either.

I would gladly trade all three AND the garage for your 991!

There are some fantastic 911 homes in this thread! TSpyder - I love that lift. Keeps the garage useable every day, but adds so much utility.

I live in an apt. in NYC and am VERY lucky to have 2 reserved, indoor (park yourself) parking spaces in my building. They are just boring spots, though, since we aren't allowed to do any customizing to them.

My father and I took on a project a few years ago to build somewhere for him to store his car overflow and for me to work on / detail my car. I'm very proud of how it turned out.

Unfortunately, I only get to use it on weekends since it is about an hour away from where I live. It's nice to have somewhere for projects, though.

In use:

It's not a contest... and only partially my garage :-P I wish my daily garage was half as nice as the ones you guys have posted in this thread.

You're right its NOT a contest! I'm looking for ideas.

But that IS one fine looking workspace. What's the floor coating?

Do you find the metal halides better lighting than flourescents?

The metal halides are a curious choice. I just scrapped 36 of those.

You guys hit on two of my few regrets on the project.

Floor coating is an epoxy that was done by a local epoxy flooring specialist. It's held up amazingly and looks great. It is a grey floor with large black and white flake in it. We had the epoxy run seamlessly 4-6" up the baseboard around the room to create a "tub" of sorts for spills.

If we were to do it again I would probably do a solid color, though. The flake in the floor makes it absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find anything that gets dropped onto it. Drop a small screw while you are working? Plan on 5 minutes of hands and knees searching. lol.

The lights were not my choice at all. They are fine, but I would change them up. My two issues with the halide lights are the long warm-up time (2 minutes?) and the spottiness of the light. More, small lights would have given us much more even lighting.

Aside from the dark spots the halides have served well as lights for paint correction detailing.

Thanks, you just confirmed what I was already thinking. A floor that hides dirt is great inside the house, but in the garage you WANT to see every speck of dust! Solid light gray would be SWEET! Gloss or semi-gloss.... hmmm.... gloss I think. Running it up the floor molding is a definite

Mine's a nature child and lives outside.

Our renovation contractor feels bad for it , and so offered to build this solution from someone in the UK:

And I was just about ready to ask how often the gardener comes in to rake the dash.

Everything in there is flat. The house, the rocks, the bushes. I think fbroen planned it all to go with the flat six.

Seriously though, as cool as this thing (whatever it is- elevator? levitated parking? feng-shui-mobile? just what do you call it?) is (and it is seriously cool, just hope it stays dry in the rain) I was looking more for storage/organizing/decor ideas.

I must admit however it most certainly is a "proper home" for a Porsche!
