Just took my car into the stealership to have a new set of rear P zeros mounted. At which point they told me of a campaign for my 991 S - replace electric change valves. They said they'd need one full day for it. My build date was March 2012

It's a device that lets a service manager use a vehicle for the weekend to pick up hookers in. Not that I would know. Serious, never heard of them as well and a Google search turns up zero.

It takes a whole day because you first have to remove the transmodulator spheres, which have to be recharged with unobtainium gas before they can be re- installed. If the muffler bearing preload is affected, then a whole nother' day is required

I will be picking up hookers in the Cayenne Turbo loaner. More room = more hookers.

Too bad there isn't a "like" button as on FB for that comment.

Got my car in for the campaigns open for it:

WC41 Tension Ropes

WC34 Front/Rear electronics control units (no clue what those are)

no other open campaigns for my car as of this date, it's invoice date according to the service advisor was may 2012. He could not provide me with the build date of the car (I did not order the car, it was off the lot). Only took a few hours, but I didn't get a cool Turbo loaner, just a base boxster

My 991S is at a Dealer now for PSE installation and an early first oil and filter change. While there, they are doing the WC-43 campaign too. My coupe was built 1/13/2012.

The Dealer printed out a WC-43 Tech Sheet for me, my take on it: some Electric Change-Over Valves are to be replaced. Porsche is concerned that they might not be sealing properly allowing moisture in, causing the valves to malfunction over time. This affects the PDK and PDK Clutch Cooling system and under extreme conditions (track days for instance) could cause the PDK trans or clutch to overheat.

There are two valves for sure that will be replaced on the PDK, and any other thermal management change over valves of the same design will be changed too, for a total of 5 to 8 valves per affected cars.

If anyone wants a copy of this Tech Sheet, just PM your email address and I will scan and send it.

DROPPED my 991S off today. Got a MB C300. Not to be a *****, but not exactly what I was expecting. I have a BMW 3 coupe for the winter, and if I got a MB C300 as a loaner for that it would be fine, a lateral move. But from a 991S to a entry level Benz? Not the best customer service in my opinion.

Yes, sorry for the error. I went back and checked and WC-43 does include manual trans cars as well.

Just curious. My car's pdk software was upgraded and the other "campaigns" were taken care of. That said, has anyone noticed a change to the car's performance? I find it loser; the transmission not as "quick" and a little bit sloppy. Is it all in my head? thanks,

My service advisor is Armen Mansouri, direct line: 818-932-1633

Auto Gallery definitely has a better reputation than Beverly Hills Porsche, both service and sales, and my personal experience over several years supports that reputation. I've worked with Armen, or Don Sucich, the service manager, and with the shop manager. They all are very good.
