Default C4S Build and PTS ideas...

So I just sold the 997 and I'm back on the hunt for a fun car that the whole family will fit in (ie a baby eat fits securely in back).

I've driven the GTR and thought it will destroy just about anything I find the ride to stiff for my wimpy ***. I must say, however, that it's anything but devoid of emotion...very hard, loud and insanely fast. Quite a bit of kit.

I'm also looking at the Audi RS5 (450-hp 8000rpm V8!) and, of course, where I really want to be...back in a 911.

To that end I need a commuter car as I'm moving to the burbs. I'm happy to drive a sports car in the snow and I'm looking at the 4S for it's sexy hips and AWD.

To whit, I'm thinking something like this but painted to sample in the last gen Cayenne GTS' dark red. Or maybe in Nimbus grey. Incidentally...Audi will also do custom colours.

Opinions more than welcome.

I don't like either color to be honest with you! I've seen so many nice colors for the 991 that these 2 just don't do it for me. Of course,it's just a matter of opinion... I really like the 991 in white or blue.
The GTR is one of the ugliest sport cars I've seen and it just looks heavy and fat. The RS5 is a really nice looking car,Audi is one of my favorite in terms of exterior and interior design, but it can never provide the thrill a 911 does...and with the everyday versatility the 991 brings today,I can see it as the best option,IMHO.

Yeah, not too keen on either one of those mentioned.

One suggestion,....check out Carmine Red from the Panamera, I've seen that in person on a Pano GTS and that is a fantastic color.

Why didn't you keep the 997? While an awd would be better for winter, it's not a massive advantage. I don't think the 991c4 would be that much better a commuter car than a 997c2.

Agreed. I wouldn't really bother with AWD if it wasn't that I'm ordering a car so I might as well (I also like the wide rear fenders).

I sold the C2 because I couldn't get a baby seat to fit properly and I have zero opportunity to use the car alone so I need a fun car I can take the family in.

Love your choice of red! Big thumbs up on the duck also.
I vote Techno wheels though.

+1 also, I think the sport design aero with ducktail is awesome! - black wheels might be cool ...

did you opt for the powerkit, sport PASM and exhaust?

p.s
think about painting your ctr console in ext color too!

i think if you're going PTS, go PTS with something different.

i was going to order mexico blue 991 but dealer wanted large deposit.

waiting and will order mexico blue on GT car and be a little sexier imo.

it sucks that the dealer wanted a large deposit (presumably non refundable) I think that if you order PTS it would be reasonable to place the cost as a deposit but I still think it should be refundable ...

checkout the current list of PTS colors ... its pretty cool!

totally +1 on a PTS MB 991GT3 ... but then I am biased!

Well technically it is different...a bark red GT colour that Porsche doesn't offer on the 911 but I know what you mean.

I like Maritime as well...also Fashion Grey and Nimbus Grey...Ultimately I'd just like to collect them all!

All that said...the configurator won't let me select PTS and the Sport Design package. Maybe the spoiler arrives pre-painted...

I agree about black wheels but platinum is all the config will allow me to select at the moment.

SPASM and sport exhaust for sure.

I think I'll pass on the powerkit at $20K. A $165,000 (Canadian) C4S is well and properly nuts.
