Agree on the Sport Plus Plus.

Leave the "Normal" for emissions rules and econo runs, if one so wishes.

"Sport" really is the car's normal as far as I am concerned.

But then the gap to "Sport Plus" is quite large. I think there should be a "Sport 1/2" that slots in between "Sport" and "Sport Plus", which is great for track, but a bit much for street. "Sport 1/2" would be money for inspired street.

My audio system has twice now not been recognized when I've started the car, leaving me no audio until I shut it down, pull the key, lock the doors and reenter the car. I'd also have to say that there is too much difference between normal and sport mode performance. Normal is too lame yet sport tends to be better for everyday driving to me. I think there should be sport, sport plus and sport plus plus
is yours one of the first cars?

do you have BOSE?

Default Torque curve

Nobody seems to have any problem with the new torque curve.

The 997 has the meat in the fat of the curve 3500-5500 and then by 6500 started to run out of steam. Great for the road, not ideal for the track.

The 991 both 3.4 and 3.8 seem to have dual maps. Rather impressive torque from 0-3000 then it screams like an old sport bike from 5500 on. But there is a dead zone from 3000-5000.

I think there are 2 reasons for this. 1: its suits PDK which, like any automated box, can spend a lot of time in the sub 3000 area cruising (and seems to make up a huge percentage of 991s) and 2: the engines are smaller/no larger but make more power. This usually requires more revs and as peak hp moves up the band that torque dead zone is unavoidable.

I liked the 997 because it had guts immediately when you punched it. The 991 collects momentum, and 8/10 times I wind it out to get that rush over 5500 (at which point you're usually realllllyyy breaking the law)

Not a fatal flaw. More of a preference issue

The car is general is great (and will be all the more so once I get two noise issues resolved)
