Same creaking - seems to on passengers side?
Took 500 miles of bumpy roads to develop since the car was quiet when I picked it up.
If you solve it, please post back!

i have stuffed a towel under the panel and initially better but now it is the only thing I hear when I drive the car. Dealer service next week for this - If i could tear the panel out myself I would but Im afraid Ill break a clip or hinge and cost myself DIY money

Cabin trim noise is a warranty issue (obviously enough) ... having already played around in the back of the car to install child car seats, I can see how flimsy and ridiculously cheap they've gone. It's one of those things that started with the 996 -- instead of everything being questionably over-engineered and heavy in the 964, 993, it became like Ford and Toyota -- just break the clip to get it out, replace the clip to re-install. It really is a matter of practice and patience to avoid breakage. Not fun. The brittle, hard plastic will no doubt lead to painfully noisy cabins over time. I think the 991 improves upon the 997 in terms of cabin trim fit and finish, but that's not saying much.

Ok in for derattling at the dealer and as an aside I noted the fact that the drivers window sometimes takes several tries before it stays up- this will require a new regiulator from germany- so my rattle service call is taking 5 days!

Did get a cayenne loaner with only 300 miles on it- went to the ranger game last night and felt no remorse parking on the street by the garden!

I noticed a slight rattle in the cab top liner area already, sort of right in the middle over the rear of the center console...not sure I want my local dealer's service dept possibly making it worse though. Have not had the best service there in the past.

Hey PeterM - sorry about the Rangers, I'm a Kings fan and last night's overtime goal by the Kings was a thing of beauty!! I was hoping to see the Rangers/Kings in the finals!

Actually now Im a Kings fan as I am genetically driven to root against the Devils. I certainly didnt expect the Kings to have that much trouble with the Devils -I'm hoping for the sweep and total Devil humiliation.

In regard to my rattle repair- after losing the car for 5 days I was two days rattle free and now the ratlle is achieving its exact same status. Interestingly I also had a problem where occasioonally I had difficulty getting the drivers window to stay up and a new module was ordered which created my delay in service. That problem has returned as well and is worse to boot. I keep hearing a little voice say "Never order first model year of new car, never order first model year of new car, never order first model year of new car"

Not good to hear about your quality issues. When is your build date, I'm hoping with an April 2012 build date Porsche will have already worked out some of the "kinks" in the new model. Devils are scrappy and play with emotion, this generally bodes well for a playoff team, that was where the Kings were coming from when they beat the No 1, 2 & 3 seeds....now it appears the Devils (even though they are a higher seed) have taken over that role. Kings did NOT seem sharp last night, uncharacteristically sloppy passing and poor play in front of the Devils goal....I would love to see a sweep, but don't think it's gonna happen!
