Three Wheelin'
Here's a question, if PDCC equipped and hydraulic pump for that is installed anyway, could that in theory have powered the steering, too? Or would the pump have had to be bigger, or two separate pumps?

An electric pump = excellent idea
Weight moved forward, minimize parasitic losses etc
(and they can still save the planet with the "up to 0,1l /100klm" lowered consumption. )
The safety-oriented-self-correcting-speed-sensitive-torque sensitive-pulse-emitting-electromechanical-steering -driver-assistance nanny = epic fail
BTW if you order the 991 with PDCC , the hydraulic pump for this system is fitted in the old steering pump's position..

For the reasons most people buy a car like this - none. Porsche is up against some serious EPA CAFE problems if the next wave of regulations go into effect, and they are not allowed to average in with the VAG fleet.
