LA Auto Show Porsche Pics
A few shots from tonight's LA Auto Show. Only two 991s were there (both in silver) but a lot of Panameras and Cayennes!
First, I'm getting a little jaded. There are so many of these things swarming around Santa Barbara that to see it on display under artificial lighting is a bit of a let down!
On the highway, heading to LA (which I always dread), I encountered my first 991S of the day. It looks great in yellow.
We noticed that they didn't show any with the sunroof open. Perhaps it's not the best way to look at these things.
Lots of detail shots for you.

A few more to round out the 991--and then some of the new Panamera GTS in a special red. Panamera Turbo in white, tossed in at the bottom.

Back seats appear to be much larger than before, specifically it looks like there's much more headroom back there.
Nice pictures, thank you for posting!

Dan-Thanks for posting. These are one of the best pics I've seen. The first yellow car looks almost like they were posing for you. The rest are just as great. I'm liking the base back better than the S. Also like the model delete. The back seats do look like they have more room. You took a lot of detailed pics. I was expecting you to put the martini down and try to do an oil change. Cheers.

As always, great pictures, Dan!
Looks like no North American spec 911s are at the show (or were in Santa Barbara, either). Do we know for sure that the rear bumpers of the North American cars WILL NOT have the "bumper pads" as past models have had?

Wow I really like the 991 a lot. I think they have the perfect front end. I love the integration of turn signals into the bumper that allow the air intakes to look clean. I hope they keep it that way on the turbo.
I realize these arn't turbos but I always preferred how the 996 turbos had they cleaner looking front than the 997. I do however prefer the headlights on the 997 over the 996. THis car just has the best of both worlds on front end looks IMHO. Good job Porsche. Now don't busy up the turbo!
THanks Dan. I searched LA Auto show last night and they had maybe 2 pics of the 911 on their site - it was disappointing. Your pics are excellent, THANK YOU!

Pro level pictures!
Could some post some pictures of under the rear of the car? I'm curious to see what Porsche is doing for the new exhaust system on the S version of this car.
Thanks!

I have seen some photos of the US spec cars and the cutout for the rear plate is smaller in width, and lacks the traditional bumperettes. They also feature the yellow side markers on the fronts.

The engine compartment looks like it houses a boombox instead of an engine! Maybe it's the electric version and they use the rear-mounted stereo to make proper flat-6 noises.

Thanks for sharing Dan. Great photos as usual. Is the trunk a little smaller, or did it just look that way? I see they've retained the same useless analog speedometer, but the rest of the dash looks great. The back seats look slightly bigger. True? Is the center console still cheap plastic or have they improved the quality of it?
