Default US Configurator now up and running

The configurator for the 991 is now available on the PCNA website (porsche.com/usa).

I found the info (features, technical data, etc) for the 991 on the site but couldn't get the actual configurator "build your Porsche" section to come up. It was just a blank page. Did you actually get that to work?

It worked earlier in the day. I only looked at the first couple of screens that showed color, wheel & interior choices.

'Build Your Porsche' doesn't work for me, either, but there is a link on the right labeled 'Car Configurator' that gets you there.

Optional sunroof - fantastic! But it looks like you can't get LSD without PTV, and you can't get DEM without SC. Bummer.

One can delete the model designation for free, but if they choose to add "911" thats $75! :|

BROOMeister is $5000.
At least the sunroof is optional.

Good thing considering how ugly that sunroof is. They have probably been listening to customers that want the sunroof to be optional, plus they probably figured that since it is so ugly when open, they better make it an option.

I guess they went with that design since the roof is lower on the 991 and will have less headroom than the 997. A conventional sunroof would take up additional headroom.

Couple of interesting colors, but I'm pretty sure I'm waiting for PTS. If "delete model designation" doesn't remove PORSCHE, I sure hope those letters are glued on...

I can't find the link?! Where is it...

EDIT: Found it. For others, click on "Build your Porsche", then choose "All Porsches" to get the new Carrera listed.

That's actually a pretty good deal for that audio system, knowing that CRAPPY Bose is $2500 and it's definitely NOT even half as good as Burmester!

Btw, how much is PDK now? It's $5K in 991, I thought 997 PDK was less than that, no?

Patined Centre console is obviously gone. So, for instance a full Carbon center console is not possible anymore, just a trim around gear shift.
